ԱԺ նախկին նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը բավական դրական է վերաբերվում խորհրդարանի գործող նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանին, այս մասին Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցի ժամանակ ասաց Գ. Սահակյանը. «Երբ Արա Բաբլոյանն առաջադրվել է, բնականաբար իմ մոտեցումը կուսակցության մակարդակում խոսում է այն մասին, որ ինքս ձայն եմ տվել իրեն: Ինչ վերաբերում է նրան, թե ինչու ես չէ, այլ մեկ ուրիշը, ապա դա կարող եք հարցնել ցանկացած հանրապետականի, սա մոտավորապես այն պահերից է, երբ քաղաքական գործիչը այնպիսի ձեւակերպում է տալիս, որ հետագայում մնացածների մոտ որոշիչ լինի իրենց գործողությունը: Իմ մոտեցումը հենց այդիսին է եղել»,-ասաց նա՝ հավելելով, որ Ա. Բաբլոյանը տեւական ժամանակ եղել է նախարար, ուստի իրեն հեշտ կլինի ադապտացվել միջավայրին:

Ինչ վերաբերում է երեկ Բաբլոյանի կատակին, թե ինքը պատրաստ է բուժել չարաճճի պատգամավորներին, նա ասաց. «Իմ ասած խոսքերն էլ են մեկնաբանում՝ քննադատելով, թե այսպես չի կարելի ասեն կամ էնպես չի կարելի արտահայտվել, բայց երբ ես ասում եմ գողությունը դա գողանալը չէ, մարդիկ չեն հասկանում, որ գողությունն ու գողանալն այլ խոսքի մասեր են: Բաբլոյանն էլ հումոր է արել, էինպիսի հումոր, որ որեւէ մեկին վնաս չի տալիս: Մարդիկ մտածում են, թե դու էնպիսի կատակ ես անում, որ մեկին վնասես, բայց դա այդպես չէ»:
