Վենեսուելայի նախագահ Նիկոլաս Մադուրոն հակակառավարական ակցիաների մասնակիցներին մեղադրել Է Կարակասում իշխանությունների կողմնակիցներից մեկին հրկիզելու մեջ: Իսկ երկրի արեւմուտքում բողոքի ակցիայի ընթացքում գնդակահարվել Է ընդդիմադիր մի ակտիվիստ: Այսպիսով, Վենեսուելայում բողոքների ներկայիս ալիքի ընթացքում սպանվածների թիվը հասել Է 48-ի, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:

Վենեսուելայում ապրիլի սկզբից բողոքի զանգվածային ակցիաներ են սկսվել այն բանից հետո, երբ Գերագույն դատարանը որոշեց լրջորեն սահմանափակել ընդդիմադիր Ազգային ժողովի իշխանությունը: Որոշումը չեղյալ Է հայտարարվել, բայց ընդդիմության կողմնակիցները փողոցներ են դուրս եկել պահանջելով դատարանի անդամների պաշտոնաթողությունը եւ վաղաժամկետ ընտրությունների անցկացում: Այժմ նրանք բողոքում են նաեւ Սահմանադիր ժողովի գումարման դեմ՝ այն համարելով սահմանադրությունը փոխելու փորձ:
