Հայտնի թուրք հեռուստամեկնաբան և քաղաքական փորձագետ Օմար Թուրանը, խոսելով Թուրքիայում իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցության ներսում տիրող վիճակի և նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի՝ կուսակցության նախագահությունը կրկին ստանձնելու մասին, նշել է, որ իշխող կուսակցությունը խորը ճգնաժամի մեջ է և որ նրա «վերջը եկել է»:

Ինչպես գրում է թուրքական demokrathaber.org կայքը, ըստ Թուրանի՝ թուրքական քաղաքական պատմության մեջ ԱԶԿ-ի ժամանակաշրջանն այլևս անցյալում կարելի է համարել, մանավանդ կուսակցության վերջին համագումարից և ներքին կադրային փոփոխություններից հետո:
