ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահի տեղակալ Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանը հունիսի 1-ին ընդունել է ԵՄ անդամ պետություններ Լատվիայի, Լիտվայի, Էստոնիայի, Սլովակիայի, Շվեդիայի եւ Նիդերլանդների արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչությունների՝ Արեւելյան գործընկերության հարցերով հատուկ բանագնացներին՝ Եվրոպական միությունը նախագահող Սլովակիայի ԱԳՆ հատուկ բանագնաց, դեսպան Դուշան Դախոյի գլխավորությամբ: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Ողջունելով ԵՄ բանագնացներին Ազգային ժողովում՝ Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանը կարեւորել է Հայաստան-ԵՄ համագործակցությունը եւ Արեւելյան գործընկերության շրջանակում մեր երկրում իրականացվող ծրագրերը: ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը զրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձել է հակակոռուպցիոն բնագավառում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին: Նա նշել է, որ առաջիկայում խորհրդարանում կքննարկվեն կոռուպցիայի կանխարգելման մարմնի ստեղծմանը եւ ազդարարների պաշտպանությանը վերաբերող օրինագծերը՝ շեշտելով դրանց կարեւորությունը կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում:

Անդրադառնալով խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին՝ զրուցակիցները կարեւորել են ՀՀ ընտրական համակարգում իրականացված բարեփոխումները:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանը հանգամանալից ներկայացրել է Դատական օրենսգրքի մշակման գործընթացը, դատավորների անկախության ապահովմանն ուղղված երաշխիքները: Բանագնացների խնդրանքով անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաեւ «Ընտանեկան բռնության մասին» օրենքի նախագծին:

Հանդիպման ավարտին երկուստեք կարեւորվել է նոյեմբերին ՀՀ-ԵՄ համապարփակ եւ ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի ստորագրումը: ԵՄ հատուկ բանագնացները բարձր են գնահատել Հայաստանում վերջին տասնութ ամիսներին արձանագրված առաջընթացը՝ համարելով այն լավ հենք ժողովրդավարության ամրապնդման եւ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության զարգացման համար:
