 Մեծ Բրիտանիայում մեկնարկել են վաղաժամկետ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները: Տեղական ժամանակով ժամը ուղիղ 07:00-ին (Երեւանի ժամանակով ժամը 10:00-ին) ամբողջ երկրում բացվել են ավելի քան 40 հազար ընտրական տեղամասեր: Որպես ընտրողներ գրանցված 46,4 միլիոն բրիտանացիներ քվեարկելու հնարավորություն կունենան մինչեւ ժամը 22:00-ն: Դրանից անմիջապես հետո առաջատար հեռուստաալիքները կհայտարարեն Էքզիթպոլերի արդյունքները, իսկ ընտրությունների վերջնական արդյունքները պետք Է հայտնի դառնան հունիսի 9-ի առավոտյան: Ընտրությունների արդյունքներով որոշվելու Է Համայնքների պալատի նոր կազմը, որի մեջ մտնում են 650 պատգամավորներ (ըստ ընտրատարածքների թվի): Պատգամավորական մանդատների կեսից ավելի ստացած կուսակցությունը կստանա կառավարություն կազմելու իրավունք: Ընտրությունների նախօրեին Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Պահպանողական կուսակցության եւ ընդդիմադիր Լեյբորիստական կուսակցության միջեւ ձայների տարբերությունը կազմել Է 1 տոկոսային կետից պակաս, ինչի մասին վկայում են վերջին նախընտրական հարցման արդյունքները, որը կատարել Է Survation ինստիտուտը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

Մինչդեռ, YouGov-ի վերջին նախընտրական հարցման տվյալներով՝ պահպանողականներին պաշտպանում Է 42 տոկոսը, լեյբորիստներին՝ 35 տոկոսը: Kantar-ի հասարակական հարցումը նույնպես ի հայտ Է բերել թորիների առաջատարությունը, բայց ավելի փոքր տարբերությամբ: Այսպես, կառավարող կուսակցության պաշտպանությամբ հանդես Է եկել հետազոտության մասնակիցների 43 տոկոսը, իսկ 38 տոկոսը նախապատվությունը տվել Է լեյբորիստներին, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը:
