Հայաստանում պարենային ապրանքների շուկաներում գերիշխող դիրք ունեցող ընկերություններ չկան։ Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ՝ ՀՀ տնտեսական մրցակցության պաշտպանության պետական հանձնաժողովի մեթոդաբանության և ծրագրերի մշակման վարչության պետ Արման Մանասերյանն ասաց, որ շատերի մոտ «գերիշխող» և «մենաշնորհ» հասկացությունները նույնացվում են, ինչն այդպես չէ։ Հայաստանում մենաշնորհները բնական մենաշնորհների ոլորտներում են՝ էլեկտրաէներգիայի, գազամատակարարման։ «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության օրենսդրությամբ և միջազգային այլ երկրների փորձը հաշվի առնելով, կարող եմ ասել, որ մենաշնորհը բացառապես այն դեպքն է, երբ միայն մեկ ընկերություն է շուկայում գործում, իսկ մնացած բոլոր դեպքերում կարող ենք գործ ունենալ գերիշխող դիրք ունեցող ընկերությունների հետ։ Մեր ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տվել, որ բազմաթիվ շուկաներում՝ հացի, երշիկի, մակարոնեղենի, ձկնեղենի, գերիշխող դիրք ունեցող ընկերություններ չկան, ու թեև շուկայում գործում են որոշակի խոշոր ծավալներ ունեցող ընկերություններ, դրանց շեմերը չեն գերազանցում գերիշխողինը»,- նշեց Մանասերյանը։ 

Մենաշնորհ է նաև այն, երբ պետությունը կոնցեսիոն կառավարման է հանձնում այս կամ այն ոլորտը, օրինակ՝ օդանավակայան, երկաթուղի։ 
ՏՄՊՊՀ-ն աշխատանքի 4 ուղղություն ունի՝ հակամրցակցային համաձայնությունների բացահայտում, մենաշնորհների և գերիշխող դիրք ունեցող ընկերությունների չարաշահումների բացահայտում, անբարեխիղճ մրցակցության գործողությունների բացահայտում և համակենտրոնացման գործարքների նկատմամբ որոշակի հսկողական գործառույթներ։ 
«Վերջին տարիներին որևէ դեպք չենք նկատել, որ միջազգային ներդրող կամ Հայաստանում գործող գործարար ցանկանա որևէ ոլորտում ներդրում կատարել ու բախվի ինչ-որ ոլորտում խոշոր ընկերության առկայությանը։ Մեր հանձնաժողովը երկու ձևով կարող է այս խնդիրները բացահայտել։ Երբ ինչ-որ տնտեսավարող սուբյեկտ, որը խնդիրների է հանդիպում, կարող է դիմել հանձնաժողովին, բայց դեռ մեզ որևէ ներդրող չի դիմել։ Մեկ այլ տարբերակում, եթե բողոքներ չենք ստանում, ինքներս ենք ուսումնասիրում շուկան։ Մեր ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ ներմուծումների հարցում որևէ սահմանափակում ֆորմալ առումով գոյություն չունի։ Ինչ վերաբերում է ոչ ֆորմալ դեպքերին՝ հանձնաժողովը դրանք բացահայտելու իրավասություններ չունի, դրանք իրավապահ մարմինների բացահայտելու խնդիրներն են»,- ասաց Մանասերյանը։
