Армянский борец греко-римского стиля, чемпион Олимпийских игр Артур Алексанян получил технический нокаут на международном турнире в Тбилиси, сообщает Федерация борьбы Армении.

В финале международного турнира борцов греко-римского стиля в весовой категории 98 кг в Тбилиси олимпийский чемпион 2016 года Артур Алесканян встретился с грузином Ревазом Надаревшили.

Во время схватки на трибунах началась потасовка между болельщиками сторон, недовольных судейством, в которую, по источникам Sputnik Армения, оказался вовлечен отец и личный тренер Артура — Геворг Алексанян. Армянский спортсмен попытался разрядить ситуацию, и, когда страсти улеглись, Артур уже в знак протеста против предвзятого судейства покинул ковер.
В результате несогласия с действиями судьи, из-за ухода с ковра и отказа продолжать поединок, армянский борец получил технический нокаут. В результате дисквалификации он лишился и серебряной медали, сообщает Федерация борьбы Армении.

Что касается других участников, то победителем международного турнира борцов греко-римского стиля в весовой категории 75 кг стал Карапет Чалян. В финале он победил представителя Казахстана. Еще одну медаль, серебряную, у борцов-классиков накануне принес Максим Манукян, выступающий в весовой категории 80 кг. Победителем тбилисского турнира стал также борец-вольник Володя Франгулян (65 кг). Серебряную медаль завоевал Григор Григорян (74 кг). Нарек Сирунян (65 кг) и Гарик Барсегян (57 кг) поднялись на третью ступень пьедестала почета.
