 Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկո կաթողիկոսարան է այցելել Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության նախագահ Նիկոս Անաստասիատիս։ Նախագահի պատվիրակության կազմում էին Կիպրոսի Արտաքին, Ներքին, Տնտեսության եւ Զբոսաշրջության նախարարները, ինչպես նաեւ այլ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ։ Այս մասին տեղեկացրեցին Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկո կաթողիկոսարանի լրատվական ծառայությունից:

Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Կաթողիկոսը, ողջունելով նախագահի այցելությունը, նշել է, որ մեր երկու ազգերը, եկեղեցիները եւ երկրները պատմական կապեր ունեն։

«Մեր երկու ժողովուրդների գործակցությունը հիմնված չէ տնտեսական շահերի վրա, այլ հավաքական արժեքների, սկզբունքների եւ ձգտումների վրա: Մենք հավաքական դատ ունենք: Կիպրական Դատ եւ Հայ Դատ։ Այս երկու դատերը նույն նպատակն ունեն՝ արդարություն, եւ նույն հասցեն՝ Թուրքիա։ Ցեղասպան նույն Թուրքիան մեր երկու ժողովուրդներին կոտորել է եւ արմատախիլ արել իր հողից։ Մենք պիտի շարունակենք միասին աշխատել միջազգային հանրության հետ, որպեսզի արդարություն լինի»,-ասել է Արամ Ա.-ն:

 Նորին Սրբությունը նաեւ ողջունել է Կիպրոսի ու Հայաստանի միջեւ զարգացող տնտեսական ու դիվանագիտական կապերը։ Հայրապետն իր ջերմ գնահատանքն է հայտնել նախագահին՝ Կիպրոսի հայ համայնքին ցուցաբերած հատուկ հոգածության համար։

Կիպրոսի նախագահն անդրադարձել է երկու երկրների ժողովուրդների  դարավոր բարեկամությանը, ինչպես նաեւ Հայաստանի ու Կիպրոսի միջեւ զարգացող գործակցությանը։ Նախագահը հիշեցրել է իր կատարած այցելությունը Հայաստան եւ ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի այցելությունը Կիպրոս։  Նա ողջունել է Վեհափառ Հայրապետի կարեւոր դերը միջկրոնական հարաբերություններում, ինչպես նաեւ նրա ցուցաբերած զորակցությունը կիպրական հարցին։

Վեհափառ Հայրապետն ու նախագահը ներկաների հետ այցելել են մայրավանքում գտնվող Սրբոց Նահատակաց  մատուռ։ Այնտեղ Վեհափառ Հայրապետն աղոթք է արել սրբացած նահատակների աճյունների առջեւ:
