Sun թերթը հունիսի 16-ին հրապարակել Է 65 մարդուց բաղկացած ցուցակ, որոնք անհայտ կորած են համարվում կամ կարող Էին զոհվել Լոնդոնի բազմահարկ բնակելի շենքերից մեկում տեղի ունցած հրդեհի հետեւանքով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Ավելի վաղ Sky News հեռուստաալիքը հայտնել Է, որ հրդեհի հետեւանքով անհայտ կորած Է համարվում 41 մարդ: 
Թերթի կազմած ցուցակում նշված են մարդկանց անունները եւ այն հարկերի համարները, որտեղ գտնվում Էին նրանց բնակարանները: Ահայտ կորած են համարվում 11-րդ հարկի եւ 14-րդից մինչեւ 23-րդ հարկերի բնակիչները: Եվս չորս մարդու հարկերի համարները հայտնի չեն:
Լոնդոնի արեւմտյան շրջանի Գրենֆելլ-թաուեր բազմաբնակարան բնակելի շենքում հրդեհն սկսվել Է լույս հունիսի 14-ի գիշերը: Այն շարունակվել Է ավելի քանի երկու օր, ինչի հետեւանքով 24-հարկանի շենքը գրեթե ամբողջովին այրվել Է: Հրդեհի հետեւանքով, ըստ նախնական տվյալների, զոհվել Է առնվազն 17 մարդ, 79 մարդ գտնվում Է հիվանդանոցներում, նրանցից 17-ը՝ օրհասական վիճակում: Հրշեջների տվյալներով՝ հրդեհից կարող Էր տուժել շուրջ 120 ընտանիք: Տարհանված բնակիչները ժամանակավորապես տեղավորվել են մերձակա հասարակական կենտրոններում, մզկիթներում ու եկեղեցիներում: Այրված շենքում որոնողական գործողությունը, ըստ ոստիկանության գնահատումների, կարող Է շարունակվել մի քանի շաբաթ:
Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը կարգադրել Է Լոնդոնի արեւմտայն մասի բնակելի շենքում տեղի ունեցած հրդեհի պատճառների լիամասշտաբ ու բաց հետաքննություն անցկացնել: Մեյը հայտարարել Է, որ մարդիկ պետք Է ստանան այն հարցի պատասխանը, թե ինչու Էր կրակն այդքան արագ տարածվում շենքում: Մեյն այցելել Է ողբերգության վայր, որտեղ հանդիպում Է ունեցել փրկարար ծառայությունների ներկայացուցիչների հետ:
Լոնդոնի իշխանությունները ենթադրում են, որ, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, զոհերի թիվը նկատելիորեն կավելանա: Լոնդոնի ոստիականության ղեկավար Սթյուարթ Քանդին հայտարարել Է, որ պատրաստ չԷ ժամանակից շուտ գնահատել զոհվածների հնարավոր թիվը, հավելելով. «Հուսով եմ, որ թվերը եռանիշ չեն լինի»:Նա նաեւ հայտնել Է, որ, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, հնարավոր չի լինի նույնականացնել բոլոր զոհվածներին, հաղորդվել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
