 Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը խիստ բացասական է դիտում ցանկացած զենքի մատակարարում Ադրբեջանին: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ այս մասին նախարարը խոսեց Պաշտպանության նախարարությունում հունիսի 28-ին հրավիրված մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ:

«Ադրբեջանը շատ անկանխատեսելի երկիր է՝ ժողովրդավարական վերահսկողության մեխանիզմների բացակայության պատճառով: Նրա ագրեսիվության մակարդակը պայմանավորված է միմիայն ներքին և վերլուծության դժվար ենթարկվող խնդիրների համադրմամբ: Եվ այդ առումով՝ լինի դա ռուսական, իսրայելական, թուրքական զենք՝ ցանկացած զենքի մատակարարումը մեծ, նոր ռիսկեր է ստեղծում, քանի որ դժվար է կանխատեսել, թե ցանկացած պահի այդ երկրում ով է կայացնելու որոշումներ»,- նշեց Սարգսյանը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանը Ռուսաստանի հետ ունի փոխգործակցության իր ծրագիրը: Դա ռազմավարական գործընկերության, դաշնակցային հարաբերություններով պայմանավորված ռազմատեխնիկական, ռազմաքաղաքական փոխգործակցության ծրագիր է: «Մենք բավարարված ենք նրանով, թե ինչպես է այդ ծրագիրն իրականացվում: Սա շատ հավակնոտ ծրագիր է, որը մենք պարբերաբար ընդլայնում ենք: Մեր խնդիրները, որոնք բարձրացնում ենք այդ երկխոսության մեջ, շատ ավելի երկարատև և կայունացնող են, քան ուղղակի զենքի այս կամ այն քանակի մատակարարումը: Մենք ստանում ենք զենք-զինամթերքը, որը գնում ենք Ռուսաստանում, ստանում ենք զենք-զինամթերք ռազմատեխնիկական փոխգործակցության շրջանակում: Այն, ինչ մենք գնում ենք, գնում ենք դաշնակցային սկզբունքով՝ Ռուսաստանի ներքին գներով, և դա մեզ համար զենքի ձեռքբերման շատ կարևոր շուկա է»,- հայտարարեց Վիգեն Սարգսյանը:
