ԱՄՆ պետդեպը հրապարակել է 6 մահմեդական երկրների քաղաքացիների՝ վիզա ստանալու համար նոր օրենքները։ ԱՄՆ Գերագույն դատարանը մասնակիորեն արգելափակել է նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի կարգադրությունը, համաձայն որի՝ ժամանակավորապես արգելվում է մահմեդական 6 երկրների քաղաքացիների մուտքն ԱՄՆ, փոխանցում է AP-ն։

Նշվում է, որ չհաստատված վիզաները չեն չեղարկվի։ Սակայն նոր օրենքների համաձայն՝ Սիրիայից, Սուդանից, Սոմալիից, Լիբիայից, Իրանից եւ Եմենից դիմորդները պետք է ապացուցեն, որ ԱՄՆ-ում բնակվող ծնողներ, ամուսին, երեխա, չափահաս որդի կամ դուստր ունեն։ Բացի որոշ բացառություններից, նման պահանջ է ներկայացվում նաեւ բոլոր երկրներից պոտենցիալ փախստականներին, որոնք սպասում են ԱՄՆ մուտքի հաստատմանը։

Ինչ վերաբերում է գործնական կամ մասնագիտական կապերին, նշվում է, որ դրանք «պետք է ձեւակերպվեն սովորական կարգով», այլ ոչ թե արգելքից խուսափելու նպատակով։ Լրագրողները, ուսանողները կամ դասախոսները, որոնք հրավեր կամ աշխատանքային պայմանագրեր ունեն, ազատվում են մուտքի արգելքից։

ԱՄՆ հյուպատոսարանների աշխատակիցները կարող են բացառություն անել նշված երկրների քաղաքացիների համար, եթե նրանք «նախկինում զգալի կապեր են հաստատել Միացյալ Նահանգներում», «կարեւոր գործնական ու մասնագիտական պարտավորվածություններ ունեն» եւ եթե խոսքը վերաբերում է նորածիններին, որդեգրված երեխաներին կամ շտապ բժշկական օգնության կարիք ունեցողներին։ Բացառություններ կարող են արվել նաեւ միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակում ճամփորդողների համար եւ դիմորդների՝ Կանադայում բնակության օրինական իրավունք ունենալու պարագայում։
