Քաթարին ուղղված Սաուդյան Արաբիայի և արաբական մյուս 3 երկրների պահանջն «Ալ-Ջազիրա» հեռուստաալիքը փակելու վերաբերյալ «անընդունելի հարձակում է» խոսքի ու կարծիքի ազատ արտահայտման նկատմամբ: Այդ մասին ուրբաթ հայտարարել է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների հարցերով գերագույն հանձնակատարի վարչության ներկայացուցիչ Ռուպերտ Քոլվիլը, հայտնում է Reuters գործակալությունը:

«ՄԱԿ-ի գերագույն հանձնակատար Զեիդ Ռաադ ալ-Հուսեյնը չափազանց մտահոգված է «Ալ-Ջազիրա» ցանցը փակելու վերաբերյալ Քաթարին ուղղված պահանջի առնչությամբ»,-լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ հայտարարել է նրա խոսնակ Ռուպերտ Քոլվիլը:

«Անկախ նրանից, թե դուք դիտում եք այն, հավանում եք, կամ համաձայն եք դրա խմբագրական դիրքորոշումների հետ, թե ոչ, «Ալ-Ջազիրայի» արաբական և անգլիական ալիքներն օրինական են և ունեն միլիոնավոր դիտողներ: Դրանք փակելու պահանջը, մեր կարծիքով, անընդունելի հարձակում է խոսքի ու կարծիքի ազատ արտահայտման իրավունքի նկատմամբ»,- ասել է Քոլվիլը:

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել է, որ Քաթարը պատրաստ է արաբական պետությունների հետ քննարկել առկա խնդիրները՝ վերջ դնելու համար տարածաշրջանային ճգնաժամին, բայց հայտարարել է, որ նրանց կողմից անցած շաբաթ ներկայացված պահանջների ցանկը պարունակում է պահանջներ, որոնք անհնար է իրականացնել, քանի որ դրանք չեն համապատասխանում իրականությանը:

Չորս արաբական երկիր՝ Սաուդյան Արաբիան, Եգիպտոսը, ԱՄԷ-ն և Բահրեյնը, Քաթարին է ներկայացրել 13 պահանջից բաղկացած ցանկ՝ պահանջելով խզել դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններն Իրանի հետ, փակել թուրքական ռազմաբազան, խզել բոլոր կապերը «Մուսուլման եղբայրների» հետ, ինչպես նաև փակել «Ալ-Ջազիրա» արբանյակային հեռուստաալիքը: Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Ֆիքրի Ըշըքը հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիան չի պատրաստվում վերանայել Քաթարում իր ռազմաբազայի տեղակայման հարցը, իսկ այն փակելու ցանկացած պահանջ կհամարվի Քաթարի հետ Անկարայի հարաբերություններին միջամտություն:

Չորս երկրի ներկայացրած պահանջների իրականացման վերջնաժամկետը լրանում է կիրակի:

Սաուդյան Արաբիան, ԱՄԷ-ն, Բահրեյնը և Եգիպտոսը հունիսի 5-ին խզել են դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները Դոհայի հետ և դադարեցրել են Քաթարի հետ բոլոր տեսակի կապերը՝ նրան մեղադրելով ահաբեկչությանն աջակցելու և նրանց ներքին գործերին միջամտելու համար: Ավելի ուշ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները խզելու մասին են նաև հայտարարել Մալդիվները, Մավրիկիան, Մավրիտանիան: Հորդանանը և Ջիբութին նվազեցրել են Քաթարում իրենց դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների մակարդակը: Արդյունքում՝ Քաթարի շրջափակմանը չի միացել Պարսից ծոցի երկրների համագործակցության խորհրդի մեջ մտնող միայն երկու պետություն՝ Քուվեյթը և Օմանը: Սենեգալը, Նիգերը և Չադը հայտարարել են դեսպաններին հետ կանչելու մասին:
