Կատարի հարեւանները ծրագրում են տապալել երկրի էմիրին։ Այս մասին Sky News-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Կատարի պաշտպանության նախարար Հալիդ ալ Աթիան։ 

Նրա խոսքով՝ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում Կատարը կարող է իրեն պաշտպանել՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ Դոհային ներկայացված վերջնագրի ժամկետը երկարաձգվել է 48 ժամով։ «Հույս ունեմ, որ բանը ռազմական միջամտության չի հասնի, բայց մենք միշտ պատրաստ ենք»,- ասել է նա։ Հալիդ ալ Աթիան նշել է, որ պատմությունն ապացուցել է. Քաթարն այն երկիրը չէ, որին կարելի է հեշտութամբ «կուլ տալ»։ Նրա խոսքով՝ արաբ հարեւանները Կատարին մեջքից հարվածեցին։

Հարցին՝ արդյո՞ք նա համարում է, որ հարեւան երկրները ցանկանում են փոխել Կատարի ռեժիմը, նա պատասխանեց. «Տեղի ունեցածը հենց դա է ապացուցում»։

Նշենք, որ 10 պետություն, որոնցից 7-ը՝ արաբական, Կատարի հետ խզել են դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները՝ նրան մեղադրելով ահաբեկչությանը սատարելու մեջ։ Դոհան հերքում է բելեր մեղադրաքները։

Սաուդյան Արաբիան, Եգիպտոսը, ԱՄԷ-ն ու Բահրեյնը Կատարին իրենց պահանջներն են ներկայացրել, որոնք կատարելուց հետո Դոհայի հետ հարաբերությունները կարող են վերականգնվել։ 13 պահանջների թվում է Կատարից թուրքական ռազմաբազայի դուրսբերումը, Իրանի հետ կապերի կրճատումը, «Ալ Ջազիրա» հեռուստաալիքի փակումը։ Դոհան պահանջներն անիրատեսական է անվանել։
