Հայաստանի կրթության և գիտության նախարարությունը նախատեսում է կրթության ոլորտում  անցում կատարել ազգային կրթակարգի: Ազգային ժողովի գիտության, կրթության, մշակույթի, երիտասարդության և պորտի հարցերի ու ֆինանսավարկային և բյուջետային հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովների համատեղ նիստում ՀՀ 2016 թ. պետական բյուջեի կատարման հաշվետվության քննարկման ժամանակ այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ կրթության ևգիտության նախարար Լևոն Մկրտչյանը՝ պատասխանելով ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Ռուզաննա Մուրադյանի հարցին: Նախարարն ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի  համակարգը պետք է ընդհանուր տեսքի բերել: «Հասկանալի է, որ ցանկացած երկրի համար կրթությունը հիմնական զենքն է: Հայաստանի կրթական համակարգի հիմքում, օրինակ, պետք է դրվեն ատոմակայանի աշխատանքը, բնական գիտությունները, երկրի պաշտպանությունը: Արդեն հստակեցվել է, որ վերջին երկու դասարաններում աշակերտները ոչ թե նույն կրթական կուրսը կանցնեն, այլ կդրվի այն հիմքը, որը կուղեկցի նրանց ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշեց նախարարը:

Նախարարը նաև նկատեց, որ ՀՀ-ում բնական գիտությունների զարգացմանը խանգարում է տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտը, որտեղ բարձր պատրաստվածություն չի պահանջվում, իսկ աշխատավարձերը բարձր են: Նա ընդգծեց, որ ՏՏ ոլորտում աշխատանքի են անցնում հիմնականում բնական գիտություններում մասնագիտացած անձինք, կատարում են ավելի ցածր որակավորման աշխատանք՝ ստանալով բարձր աշխատավարձ: Լևոն Մկրտչյանը շեշտեց, որ բնական գիտությունների աշխատաշուկայում մոտիվացիա ստեղծելու անհրաժեշտություն կա:
