Աանցած ժամանակահատվածում մեզ հաջողվել է ԱՄՆ-ի հետ կառուցել սերտ, ամուր գործընկերային եւ բարեկամական հարաբերություններ՝ խարսխված փոխադարձ հարգանքի ու վստահության վրա: Այս մասին ասված է ԱՄՆ Անկախության օրվա առթիվ Դոնալդ Թրամփին ուղղված ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի շնորհավորական ուղերձում:

«2017 թվականը մեր երկկողմ հարաբերություններում նշանավորվում է Հայաստանի եւ Միացյալ Նահանգների միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25-ամյակով: Այսօր աներկբայորեն կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ անցած ժամանակահատվածում մեզ հաջողվել է կառուցել սերտ, ամուր գործընկերային եւ բարեկամական հարաբերություններ՝ խարսխված փոխադարձ հարգանքի ու վստահության վրա: Ուրախությամբ եմ նշում, որ մեր քաղաքական երկխոսությունը կրում է դինամիկ բնույթ՝ նպաստելով փոխշահավետ համագործակցության ընդլայնմանը, այդ թվում՝ առեւտրատնտեսական բնագավառում:

Հայ-ամերիկյան կապերի սերտացման հարցում, անխոս, մեծ է նաեւ ամերիկահայ համայնքի դերակատարումը:

Բարձր եմ գնահատում Հայաստանի տնտեսական զարգացմանը, բազմոլորտ բարեփոխումներին, ժողովրդավարության եւ քաղաքացիական հասարակության կայացմանը տարիներ շարունակ ցուցաբերվող՝ ԱՄՆ-ի աջակցությունը՝ միտված մեր երկրի պետականության ամրապնդմանը:

Չեմ կարող չնշել Միացյալ Նահանգների՝ որպես ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահող երկրի ներդրման կարեւորությունը Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության հաստատման գործում: Հավատացած եմ, որ ԱՄՆ-ի ակտիվ ներգրավվածությունը մյուս համանախագահող երկրների՝ Ռուսաստանի եւ Ֆրանսիայի հետ համատեղ, Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացում կհանգեցնի ցանկալի արդյունքի՝ խնդրի խաղաղ եւ տեւական կարգավորման:

Մեկ անգամ եւս շնորհավորում եմ Ձեզ ազգային տոնի կապակցությամբ՝ հույս հայտնելով, որ համատեղ հետեւողական ջանքերի շնորհիվ հայ-ամերիկյան օրակարգը կհարստացնենք երկուստեք հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող նոր նախաձեռնություններով ու ծրագրերով»,-ասված է ԱՄՆ նախագահին ուղղված ՀՀ նախագահի շնորհավորական ուղերձում:
