Հղիներին կամ կերակրող մայրերին կարող է ավելի շատ պահանջվել՝ մոտ 1200 մգ: 50 տարեկանից հետո կանանց անհրաժեշտ է առնվազն 1200 մգ օրական, տղամարդկանց՝ 1000 մգ:
