Քսանի խմբի տասներկուերորդ գագաթնաժողովը պաշտոնապես մեկնարկել Է: Ղեկավարները հավաքվել են առաջին աշխատանքային նիստին:

Ներածական խոսքով գագաթնաժողովի մասնակիցներին Է դիմել Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը: Այնուհետեւ հանդիպումը շարունակվել Է մամուլի համար փակ ռեժիմով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

Նստաշրջանն սկսվելուց առաջ «քսանյակի» պետությունների եւ կառավարությունների ղեկավարներն անցկացրել են ոչ պաշտոնական բանավեճ: Քանի որ այն վերաբերում Էր քաղաքական հարցերին, ապա պաշտոնապես այն չի մտել G20-ի պաշտոնական օրակարգ: Սպասելով գագաթնաժողովի նիստն սկսվելուն՝ տարբեր երկրների ղեկավարները շարունակել են միմյանց հետ հաղորդակցվել «ոտքի վրա»: Մասնավորապես, Ռուսաստանի նախագահը զրուցել Է Գերմանիայի կանցլերի հետ:

Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտնել Է Քսանի խմբում ՌԴ-ի նախագահի ներկայացուցիչ Սվետլանա Լուկաշը, գագաթնաժողովի առաջին պաշտոնական նստաշրջանն ավանդաբար նվիրված Է համաժողովի օրակարգի հարցերին՝ գլոբալ տնտեսությանը եւ ֆինանսներին, ինչպես նաեւ առեւտրին: Նրա խոսքով՝ այդ նիստում կքննարկվեն կայուն հավասարակշռված տնտեսական աճի աջակցման թեմաները: Լուկաշը հիշեցրել Է, որ այս տարի Գերմանիայի նախագահության գերակայություններից մեկը գլոբալացման, առեւտրի խնդիրներն են: Մասնավորապես, Մերկելն այս տարվա հիմնական գերակայությունների թվում նշել Է լուրջ բանավեճը համաշխարհային առեւտրի բնագավառում հովանավորության խնդրի շուրջը:
