Հայտնի Forbes Woman ամսագիրը պատմել է Ջորջիո Արմանի նորաձևության տան հիմնադրի հաջողության պատմության և հայկական արմատների մասին, որը 215-րդ տեղն է զբաղեցնում Forbes-ի գլոբալ վարկանիշում ($6.6 մլրդ):

2002-ին Forbes-ը Ջորջիո Արմանիին համարեց աշխարհի ամենահաջողակ դիզայները: Սակայն նրա անձնական կյանքի մասին տեղեկատվություն չկար: 83-ամյա Արմանին ինքնամփոփ է և շատ հազվադեպ է հարցազրույց տալիս: Ջորջիոն ծնվել է Իտալիայում:

Նրա ծնողները մազապուրծ են եղել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից: Չնայած, որ Արմանին արյունով իտալացի չէ, նա կիսում է այդ երկրի արժեքները, որոնցից գլխավորն ընտանիքն է:

Ջորջիոն մեծացել է եղբոր և քրոջ հետ: Պատանի տարիքում ցանկացել է բժիշկ դառնալ, հետո թողել է ուսումն ու բանակ գնացել: Ինչ-որ պահ նա տարվել է լուսանկարչությամբ և այդպես հայտնվել է նորաձևության աշխարհում: Նա հասցրել է աշխատել Էմանուել Ունգարոյի և Էրմենեջիլդո Զենայի հետ, մինչև որ 1975-ին ընկերոջ՝ Սերջիո Գալեոտիի հետ գրանցել է Giorgio Armani S.p.A. ընկերությունը:

Արմանին տանն աշխատելու սխեմա էր ստեղծել և բաժանել ընկերությունն ըստ մի քանի ուղղությունների: Պատրաստի հագուստը թողարկվում էր Armani Collezioni անվան տակ, երիտասարդականը՝ Emporio Armani, օպտիկան՝ Armani Occhiali և այլն: 1985-ին Սերջիոյի մահից հետո բիզնեսին միացավ Ջորջիոյի քույրը՝ Ռոզաննան:

Չնայած տարեց հասակին՝ Արմանին նախկինի պես ինքնուրույն է լուծում ընկերության հիմնական հարցերը: Նա միակ բաժնետերն է, նախագահն ու գործադիր տնօրենը: Դիզայները մինչ օրս անձամբ է նախագծում haute couture-ի բոլոր մոդելները, գրում է պարբերականը:

Նորաձևության բրենդերից բացի Արմանին նաև հյուրանոցների ու ռեստորանների սեփականատեր է: 1989-ին նա ռեստորանային բիզնես սկսեց, իսկ 2010-ին՝ հյուրանոցային: Այդպիսի արդյունքն անհնար կլիներ առանց հաարզատների աջակցության: Արմանին երբեք ամուսնացած չի եղել, նա երեխաներ չունի: Նրա ընտանիքը քույրն է՝ Ռոզաննան, և զարմուհիները՝ Սիլվանան և Ռոբերտան: Ռոբերտան ընկերության PR տնօրենն է:
