Նյու Յորքի առևտրի կենտրոններից մեկում անտուն մարդը հրաժարվում էր լքել խանութը, ինչի պատճառով աշխատակիցները ոստիկանություն կանչեցին: 

Ոստիկանության սպա Խոսե Ֆլորեսը անմիջապես ժամանեց խանութ: Նա գիտեր, թե ինչպես են սովորաբար մարդիկ վարվում այդպիսի դրություններում և շատ շտապում էր:

Ոստիկանը մոտենում էր խանութին և պատրաստվում վատագույնին: Նա շոկի ենթարկվեց, երբ ներս մտավ: Անտուն տղամարդուն դուրս քշելու փոխարեն աշխատակիցները նրա համար գումար էին հավաքել: Նրանք նաև կացարան էին գտել նրա համար, որտեղ նա կկարողանար ապրել:

Ֆլորեսին ոգեշնչեց այդ մարդկանց կողմից ցուցաբերված բարությունը և նա որոշեց իր բաժինը ներդնել անտունին օգնելու համար:

Նրանից պահանջվում էր տղամարդուն հասցնել ապաստան, բայց նա միանգամից չարեց դա: Ոստիկանին անհանգստացրել էր այն, որ անտունը շատ թեթև էր հագնված՝ չնայած ցուրտ եղանակին:

Ֆլորեսը տանում է տղամարդուն հարևանությամբ գտնվող հանրախանութ, որպեսզի գնի նրա համար նոր կոշիկներ, տաք հագուստ և ձեռնոցներ: Նա որոշեց ապահովել նրան բոլոր անհրաժեշտ պարագաներով նախքան նրան ապաստան ուղարկելը:
