ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի՝ ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով օգնական գեներալ Հերբերտ Մաքմասթերն արտաքին քաղաքականության հարցերում գործում Է պետության ղեկավարի կամքին հակառակ եւ փաստորեն ձախողում Է նրա պլանները: Օգոստոսի 3-ին այս մասին հայտնել Է The Daily Caller թերթը՝ վկայակոչելով Սպիտակ տանը կից Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի նախկին անդամների, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

«Այն ամենն, ինչ առաջարկում Է նախագահը, Մաքմասթերը մերժում Է,- հրատարակությանը պատմել Է նրանցից մեկը գաղտնիության պայմանով:- Թրամփը ցանկանում Է հեռանալ Աֆղանստանից, Մաքմասթերն այնտեղ ձգտում Է Էլ ավելի մեծ ներգրավվածության, Թրամփը ցանկանում Է հեռանալ Սիրիայից, Մաքմասթերը մտադիր Է ներդրվել այնտեղ, Թրամփը ցանկանում Է կարգավորել Չինաստանի շուրջը ծագած իրադրությունը, Մաքմասթերը չի ցանկանում դա, Թրամփը ցանկանում Է լուծել իսլամի հիմնախնդիրը, Մաքմասթերը՝ ոչ, վերջապես, մենք բոլորս ցանկանում ենք ազատվել Իրանի հետ (միջուկային) գործարքից, իսկ Մաքմասթերը դա չի ցանկանում»:

«Ես գիտեմ, որ նախագահն այն բանի մեծ երկրպագուն չԷ, ինչ անում Է Մաքմասթերը: Չեմ հասկանում, թե ինչու Է նա թույլ տալիս այդ տղային մնալ այդ պաշտոնում, եթե նա խափանում Է այն բոլոր քայլերը, որոնք (Թրամփը) ցանկանում Է ձեռնարկել արտաքին քաղաքականության բնագավառում»,- հայտարարել վարչակազմի մեկ այլ նախկին ներկայացուցիչ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
