Ջո Պաուելլը և նրա ամուսինը Ռիչարդը երկար տարիներ փորձում էին երեխա ունենալ, սակայն ճանապարհը բավականին դժվար էր և երկար։ 2010 թվականին այս զույգի երազանքը իրականացավ։

Մի քանի օր անց Ջոյի տրամադրությունն ամբողջովին փոխվեց։ Կինը կրծքում զգաց կոշտություն։ Նա միանգամից վախեցավ, մտածելով, որ կորցնում է երեխային, ում ինքն ու ամուսինը այդքան երկար էին սպասել։

Բժիշկները ախտորոշեցին կնոջ մոտ կրծքի քաղցկեղ։ Պետք էր անհապաղ սկսել բուժումը, սակայն Ջոնը չէր կարող համաձայնվել քիմիաթերապիայի հետ, հղիության այքան վաղ շրջանում։

Քաղցկեղը գտնվեց ավելի ագրեսիվ՝ հորմոնների պատճառով, որոնք ավելացել էին հղիության հետևանքով։ 

Եկել էր ժամանակը ըդնունել Ջոյի կյանքի ամենալուրջ որոշումը։ Հղիության 10-րդ շաբաթում բժիշկները ասացին, որ կինը պետք է զոհաբերի փոքրիկի կյանքը, ով դեռ անգամ լույս աշխարհ չի եկել։ Միայն այդպես կարող էին նրան փրկել։

Ամուսինները որոշում կայացրին, որը զարմացրեց բոլոր բժիշկներին և դարձրեց այս ընտանիքին հայտնի ամբողջ աշխարհում։ Ջոն հրաժարվել էր ընդհատել հղությունը և․․․ այսօր նա տոնում է իր լիովին առողջացումը։

«Ես գիտեի, որ մենք իրավունք չունենք հրաժարվել մեր երեխայից։ Ես պարզապես չէի կարող զոհաբերել նրա կյանքը հանուն ինձ։  Ես չեմ կարողանում հավատալ, որ մենք այսօր ողջ և առողջ ենք։ Ես զգում եմ ինձ ամենահաջողակ կինը աշխարհում»- խոստովանել է Ջոնը։

Այս պատմությունը ապացուցում է, որ կյանքում կարող են տեղի ունենալ իսկական հրաշքներ, սակայն մի պայմանով, որ դուք պետք է պայքարեք ձեր երջանկության համար։
