 Լոս Անջելեսում ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոսությունը  Համայնքային խորհրդի օժանդակությամբ Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանի Լոս Անջելեսի մասնաճյուղում  օգոստոսի 28-ին կազմակերպել էր «Խոստումը» ֆիլմի ցուցադրությունը՝ նախատեսված Լոս Անջելեսում հավատարմագրված օտարերկրյա դիվանագետների համար: Ցուցադրությանը ներկա էին բազմաթիվ դիվանագետներ, մարդու իրավունքների հարցերով զբաղվող միջազգային կառույցների անդամներ, գիտնականներ, դասախոսներ և Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանում հիմնադրված «The Promise» ինստիտուտի ներկայացուցիչներ:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ հյուպատոս Արմելլա Շաքարյանը նշեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության միջազգային ճանաչման և դատապարտման գործընթացում Հայաստանի և Սփյուռքի միացյալ ջանքերի շնորհիվ արձանագրվել  է  նշանակալից առաջընթաց, որի մեջ իր հաստատուն ներդրումն ունի նաև ամերիկահայ համայնքը: Արմելլա Շաքարյանը նաև ներկայացրեց Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հետևողական ջանքերը նոր ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելման ուղղությամբ:
Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, «The Promise» ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Ասլի Բալին իր խոսքում նշեց, որ իրենց ինստիտուտի նպատակն է կյանքի կոչել «Խոստումը» ֆիլմի տեսլականը՝ պատրաստել մարդու իրավունքներով զբաղվող իրավաբանների սերունդներ, որոնք հետամուտ կլինեն արդարադատությանն ու պատասխանատվությանը:
Ոջունելով ֆիլմը ցուցադրելու նախաձեռնությունը՝ Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանի ներկայացուցիչ Քաիթ Փարքերն ասաց, որ ինքը հպարտ է Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանում ֆիլմի ցուցադրմամբ այսպիսի հրաշալի հնարավորությամբ, որը թույլ է տալիս ֆիլմի միջոցով տեսնել ու զգալ, թե ինչ է պատահում, երբ մարդը երես է թեքում մարդուց, հասկանալ, որ հնարավոր չէ անվերջ անտեսել պատմությունը:
«Խոստումը» ֆիլմի ցուցադրության նախաձեռնությունն իր ելույթում ողջունեց նաև «Խոստումը» ֆիլմի ստեղծագործական թիմի անդամ, պրոդյուսեր Կառլա Կարապետյանը:
