Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի հավաքականի մարզիչ Արթուր Պետրոսյանը ՝ պատասխանելով ռումինացի լրագրողի այն հարցին, արդյոք Ռումինիայի հավաքականի կազմում կա՞ն Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանի մակարդակի ֆուտբոլիստեր, պատասխանել է ՝ 

-Չեմ ուզում որևէ մեկին վիրավորել, բայց կարծում եմ՝ ոչ: Դուք ունեք շատ լավ ֆուտբոլիստներ, որոնք ունեն մեծ պոտենցիալ, բայց չեմ կարծում, թե կան Մխիթարյանի կարգի ֆուտբոլիստներ:

Պետրոսյանն, անշուշտ, ճիշտ է: Ընդհանրապես հետսովետական տարածքում Մխիթարյանի մակարդակի ֆուտբոլիստներ չկան: Այդպիսիք քիչ են նաև Արևելյան Եվրոպայում: Երեկ, Ռուսաստանի և Հայաստանի մինչև 21 տարեկանների հավաքականների հանդիպման ժամանակ չկար նաև Վահան Բիչախչյանի մակարդակի ֆուտբոլիստ: Ինչը, սակայն, չխանգարեց նրան, որ Ռուսաստանի հավաքականը ողջ խաղի ընթացքում գրոհեր ու ի պատասխան ստանար Հայաստանի հավաքականի կողմից քաոտիկ շարժումներ, չկապակցված ու թիմայինից հեռու խաղ: Մխիթարյանի մակարդակի ֆուտբոլիստ չունենալը չի խանգարում նաև Ադրբեջանին ՝ ունենալ ակումբ Չեմպիոնների լիգայի խմբային փուլում, իսկ Արևելյան Եվրոպայի երկրներին ՝ ինտենսիվ մասնակցել ոչ միայն ակումբային առաջնություններին, այլև Եվրոպայի ու Աշխարհի առաջնություններին:

Խնդիրն այն է, որ դու կարող ես ունենալ մեկ Մխիթարյան, բայց եթե նրա հետ խաղում չկան գոնե մի քանի 50, 25 կամ 10 տոկոսանոց մխիթարյաններ, ապա թիմային խաղ այդպես էլ չես ունենալու: Մանավանդ այն դեպքում, երբ Մխիթարյանը արդեն ֆուտբոլիստի համար շատ երիտասարդ տարիքում չէ, ինչպես իր խաղընկերներից շատերը և սերնդափոխության համար չան բավարար կադրեր:

Ինչպես ֆուտբոլում, այնպես էլ Հայաստանի կյանքի տարբեր ոլորտներում խնդիրը նույնն է: Քան առանձին անհատներ, հանճարներ, տաղանդներ, հաջողակներ, անհատական կամքի շնորհիվ բարձունքի հասած պրոֆեսիոնալներ: Բայց չկա միջինացված պրոդուկտ, չկա բալանսավորված թիմային աշխատանք, չկա փոխլրացում: Կրթության ոլորտում կան փայլուն ոսկեմեդալակիրներ, օլիմպիադայի հաղթողներ ու վունդերկինդներ, բայց չկա միջինացված որակյալ կրթություն: Սպորտի ոլորտում կա Արթուր Ալեքսանյան, կան չեմպիոն ծանրամարտիկներ, բայց երկրում չկա միջինացված սպորտային համակարգ: Նույնը ֆուտբոլում. բոլորը հիանում են Հենրիխով, կամ սպասում նոր Հենրիխների: Ամեն քիչ թե շատ տաղանդավոր ֆուտբոլիստի մասին պատմող հոդված սկսվում է ՝ նոր Հենրիխ Մխիթարյան վերնագրով: 

Այնպես որ, այո, Ռումինիայի և այլ հավաքականներում Մխիթարյաններ չկան: Իսկ Հայաստանի հավաքականում դեռևս կա միայն Մխիթարյան ՝ նաև այն պատճառով, որ իրերը մենք այդպես ենք տեսնում, նայում ու գտնում ենք հանճարի ու հույսներս, հրաշքի սպասումներս կապում մեկի հետ, մոռանալով, անտեսելով թե մյուսներին, թե թիմն ընդհանրապես:
