Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների կողմից փողերի լվացման մասին նոր ուշագրավ մանրամասներ են ի հայտ գալիս: Այս անգամ հերթական բացահայտումներից մեկը կապված է CNN հեռուստաընկերության նախկին աշխատակցի հետ:

Այս մասին հայտնում է ադրբեջանական  azadliq.infoլրատվական գործակալությունը:

Կազմակերպված հանցագործության և կաշառակերության լուսաբանման նախագծի (Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) «Ադրբեջանական լվացքատուն» անունը կրող ուսումնասիրության մեջ, ի թիվս այլ բացահայտումների, Ադրբեջանից կաշառք ստացած գործիչների մեջ նշվում է CNN հեռուստատեսության նախկին պրոդյուսեր Էսկարտ Սագերի անունը:

Նախագծի կողմից իրականացված բացահայտման համաձայն` 2014-ին Էսկարտ Սագերի՝ Արաբական Էմիրություններում գրանցված բանկային հաշվին Hilux Services կազմակերպության կողմից փոխանցվել է 1 մլն 975 հազար եվրո, ինչը համարժեք է 2,6 մլն դոլարի:

Բացահայտման մեջ նշվում է, որ Էսկարտ Սագերն, Ադրբեջանից գումարներ ստանալով, գրել է հոդվածներ, որոնցով պրոպագանդել է Ադրբեջանի տեսակետները կապված տարբեր հարցերի հետ, կամ պաշտպանել ադրբեջանամետ գործիչներին:

«Հոդվածներից մեկը աջակցում է իտալացի պատգամավոր Լուկա Վոլոնտեն, որը մեղադրվում էր ադրբեջանական մեքենայից փող ստանալու եւ Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների վերաբերյալ ԵԽԽՎ զեկույցի վերանայման մեջ»,- նշված է Ադրբեջանի կոռուպցիոն գործարքները մերկացնող հոդվածում:

Կազմակերպված հանցագործության և կաշառակերության լուսաբանման (Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) նախագիծը հրապարակել էր տեղեկություն, ըստ որի Ադրբեջանի իշխող էլիտան երկու տարի շարունակ տնօրինել է մոտ  3 միլիարդ ԱՄՆ դոլար արժողությամբ գաղտնի հաշիվ, որի միջոցներով գումարներ են վճարվել եվրոպացի քաղաքական գործիչներին ադրբեջանամետ որոշումներ կայացնելու համար, ինչպես նաև կատարվել են թանկարժեք գնումներ: Նշվում է, որ գումարի մեծ մասը վճարվել է լոբբիստներին, լրագրողներին, քաղաքական գործիչներին ու գործարարներին: Վճարման սխեման հատկապես հաջող է անցել Եվրախորհրդի Խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովում 2013 թվականին Ադրբեջանի համար խիստ կարևոր զեկույցի քվեարկության ժամանակ: Այդ քվեարկությունը, որը կապված է Ադրբեջանում քաղբանտարկյալների հետ, ներկայումս հետաքննության տակ է, դրա հետ կապված զեկույցը պատրաստ կլինի 2017 թվականի վերջին:
