Մասնագետները սա բացատրում են նրանով, որ նրանց օրգանիզմը դանդաղ է այրում կալորիաները, գրում է The Telegraph-ը:  Գիտնականները դա ապացուցել են փորձով:

Փորձի մասնակիցներին գիտնականները բաժանել են երկու խմբի: Երկու խմբի կանայք նույն սննդակարգին էին հետևում (ձու, հնդկահավ, երշիկ, հացաբուլկեղեն և սոուս, որոնք պարունակում են 930 կալորիա և 60 գրամ ճարպ): Նախապես անցկացվել էր սթրեսի մակարդակի գնահատման թեստ:

Պարզվել է, որ նախորդ օրվա ընթացքում առնվազն մեկ սթրեսային էպիզոդ ապրած մասնակիցների մոտ սննդի ընդունումից հետո 7 ժամվա ընթացքում այրվում էր 104 կալորիայով ավելի պակաս: Տարվա ընթացքում դա կարող էր կազմել հավելյալ 5 կգ: Սթրեսը կարող էր պայմանավորված լինել գործընկերների կամ ամուսնու հետ ունեցած վեճերով, ընկերների հետ կոնֆլիկտներով, երեխաների հետ խնդիրներով և աշխատանքից բխող ճնշումներով:  Ընդամենը 6 կանանց մոտ էր ընդհանրապես բացակայում սթրեսի որևէ նշան:

Սթրես տարած կանանց մոտ առկա էր ինսուլինի բարձր մակարդակ՝ կապված ճարպի պահեստավորմամբ: Իսկ նրանց ճարպային կուտակումներն ավելի հազվադեպ էին օքսիդանում:

Եթե մարդը սովոր է իր մեջ պահել սեփական պրոբլեմները, ապա նա չի կարող խույս տալ ճարպակալումից:
