Մեքսիկայում տեղի ունեցած հզոր երկրաշարժի զոհերի թիվը շարունակում է աճել. վերջին տվյալներով` 7.1 մագնիտուդ ուժգնությամբ երկրաշարժի հետևանքով զոհվել է 237 մարդ՝ այդ թվում նաև բազմաթիվ երեխաներ:

Ինչպես հայտնում է Reuters-ը, երկրի կենտրոնական հատվածում՝ այդ թվում նաև մայրաքաղաք Մեխիկոյում, փրկարարները գիշեր-ցերեկ աշխատում են փլատակների մեջ թակարդվածներին դուրս հանելու համար: Այդ հարցում նրանց օգնում են նաև տեղացիները:

Մեխիկոյում փլուզված դպրոցներից մեկի փլատակներից փրկարարներին հաջողվել է դուրս բերել ողջ մնացած 12-ամյա աղջկա, որի փրկարարական օպերացիան տևել է 14 ժամ: Դուրս բերվելուց հետո աղջիկը չի կարողացել հստակ ասել, թե արդյոք իր հետ եղած մյուս աշակերտները ողջ են: Ընդհանուր առմամբ, փլատակների տակից հաջողվել է 50 ողջ մարդ դուրս բերել: Բացի այդ, հանվել է մի քանի տասնյակ դի:
