Սաուդյան Արաբիան եւ ԱՄԷ-ն Կատարի շուրջ ճգնաժամի նախնական փուլում  քննարկել են ռազմական գործողությունների հնարավորությունը, սակայն ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը նրանց դրանից ետ է պահել, փոխանցում է «Բլումբերգ» գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով  այս հարցին լավատեղյակ իր աղբյուրներին:

Գործակալության տեղեկություններով՝ Էր Ռիյադը եւ Աբու Դաբին քննարկել են Կատարում իշխանափոխության տարբերակները, որին նրանք մեղադրում էին ահաբեկչությանն աջակցելու եւ Իրանի հետ մերձենալու մեջ:
