Սեպտեմբերի 25-ին ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանն ընդունեց Սիրիայի Արաբական Հանրապետության Ժողովրդական ժողովի հայազգի պատգամավոր,  Բերիո թեմի Ազգային Առաջնորդարանի խոսնակ Ժիրայր Ռեիսյանին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարարությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին՝ նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը կարևորեց Սիրիայում հայ համայնքի անվտանգությանն ու պահպանմանն ուղղված նրա ջանքերը:

Ժիրայր Ռեիսյանը շնորհակալություն հայտնեց բարձր գնահատանքի համար և նշեց, որ  Հայաստան-Սփյուռք 6-րդ համաժողովը կարևոր հարթակ էր, որտեղ տարբեր երկրներից եկած մեր հայրենակիցները կարողացան հանդիպել և քննարկել իրենց հուզող հարցերը, կարծիքներ փոխանակել, նոր ծրագրեր ներկայացնել:

Խոսելով Սիրիայում տիրող իրավիճակից, համայնքային գործիչը հավելեց. «Պատերազմի ծանր տարիներն անցել են, բայց դա չի նշանակում, որ տակավին գոյություն չունեն դժվարություններ: Սիրիահայերը պատերազմի տարիներին տեղափոխվել էին տարբեր երկրներ, ես սա գաղթ չեմ համարում, այլ տեղափոխություն՝ անվտանգությունից ելնելով: Մարդիկ վտանգի մեջ գտնվող քաղաքներից առավել անվտանգ վայրեր են տեղափոխվել: Այժմ շատ սիրիահայեր են վերադարձել Հալեպ, այդ թվում, եվրոպական երկրներից, Հայաստանից: Իհարկե, խնդիրներ կան, սակայն պայմանները բարելավվում են»: 

Նա նաև հայտնեց, որ Հալեպում ներկայումս բնակվում է մոտ 18 հազար հայ, իսկ ամբողջ երկրում հայերի թիվը հասնում է շուրջ 28 հազարի:
