ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը սեպտեմբերի 28-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Ֆրանսիայի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ժան-Ֆրանսուա Շարպանտիեին, ով ավարտում է դիվանագիտական առաքելությունը մեր երկրում: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դեսպան Շարպանտիեին Հայաստանում պաշտոնավարման անցած երեք տարիներին հավատարիմ բարեկամ և դաշնակից Ֆրանսիայի հետ մեր երկրի բարեկամության ամրապնդման գործում նրա ներդրած ջանքերի և այդ կարճ ժամանակահատվածում հատկապես միջպետական հարաբերությունների տնտեսական բաղադրիչի զարգացմանն արդյունավետ գործունեությամբ նպաստելու համար։ Քաղաքական ակտիվ երկխոսությանը զուգահեռ տնտեսական փոխգործակցության խորացմանը միտված աշխատանքի արդյունքները, Նախագահ Սարգսյանի համոզմամբ, ակնառու են և առարկայական. դրանք արտահայտվում են ինչպես Հայաստանում Զարգացման ֆրանսիական գործակալության ակտիվ գործունեությամբ, տարբեր ոլորտներում ֆրանսիական կապիտալի ներդրմամբ իրականացվող ծրագրերով, որոնցից են՝ Վեդիի ջրամբարի կառուցման կարևոր ծրագիրը, «Վեոլիա» ընկերության գործունեությունը և այլն:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը հաջողություն է մաղթել դեսպան Շարպանտիեին հետագա գործունեության մեջ և հույս հայտնել, որ մեր երկրից նա կհեռանա միայն հաճելի տպավորություններով ու հիշողություններով՝ շարունակելով մնալ Հայաստանի բարեկամը:

Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Հանրապետության Նախագահին գնահատանքի և ջերմ խոսքերի համար՝ վստահեցնելով, որ ի դեմս իրեն Հայաստանը մշտապես կունենա նվիրյալ բարեկամ: Ժան-Ֆրանսուա Շարպանտիեն իր համար մեծ պատիվ և պատասխանատվություն է համարել Հայաստանում դեսպանի պարտականությունների կատարումը և ընդգծել, որ անցած երեք տարիները լի են եղել բավականին հիշարժան և նշանակալից իրադարձություններով, որոնք առավել ամրապնդել են բարեկամ Հայաստանի հետ Ֆրանսիայի հարաբերությունները:

Դեսպանը հույս է հայտնել, որ հայ-ֆրանսիական տնտեսական համագործակցությունը կշարունակի զարգանալ՝ հասնելով երկու պետությունների քաղաքական հարաբերությունների բարձր մակարդակին:
