Ամերիկյան հեռուստահաղորդավարի և մոդել Քիմ Քարդաշյանի փաստաբանները նամակ են ստացել  2016 թ.-ի հոկտեմբերին Փարիզում տեղի ունեցած գողության  կասկածյալից, ով ներողություն է խնդրում իր արարքի համար: Այս մասին հաղորդում է TMZ-ի լրատվական աղբյուրը:

Որոշ աղբյուրների համաձայն՝ նամակի հեղինակը Օմար Աիդ Հեդաշն է, ում հունվարին Ֆրանսիայի իշխանությունները պաշտոնապես մեղադրանք են առաջադրել հանցագործության համար: Ենթադրվում է, որ նա մի քանի հանցակիցներ ունի: 

Նամակում, որը գրվել է ձեռագիր ֆրանսերեն լեզվով, մասնավորապես, ասվում է. «Տեսնելով և հասկանալով, թե ինչ հոգեբանական վնաս եմ պատճառել ձեզ, ես որոշեցի գրեմ, բայց ոչ որպեսզի ստանամ ձեր ներողամտությունը»: Կասկածյալը նշել է, որ շատ է հուզվել, երբ տեսել է Քարդաշյանին արցունքներն աչքերին և «խորապես զղջում է իր գործողությունների համար»:

Ըստ աղբյուրների՝ Քարդաշյանը արդեն ծանուցվել է նամակի մասին և թերհավատությամբ է վերաբերվել դրան: Հեռուստահաղորդավարուհին կարծում է, որ Հեդաշն այդպիսով միայն փորձում է տպավորություն ստեղծել դատարանի մոտ, որ զղջացել  է: Ինչպես նշում է լրատվական ռեսուրսը, հաղորդագրություն սկզբում ուղարկվել է դատավորին, ով զբաղվում է այդ գործով, և միայն դրանից հետո Քարդաշյանի փաստաբաններին Ֆրանսիայում:
