Տիգրան Մանսուրյանին շնորհվեց Արթիկի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում և քաղաքի մշակույթի կենտրոնը կոչվեց կոմպոզիտորի անունով

Արթիկի մշակույթի կենտրոնում հոկտեմբերի 2-ին տեղի ունեցավ «Հայ դասական պոեզիան Տիգրան Մանսուրյանի երաժշտության մեջ» խորագրով համերգային երեկոն, որի ժամանակ հնչեցին Իսահակյանի ու Չարենցի բանաստեղծությունների հիման գրված մանսուրյանական երգաշարերը: 
Համերգին մասնակցեցին Հայաստանի պետական կամերային երգչախումբը (գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և գլխավոր դիրիժոր՝ Ռոբերտ Մլքեյան), մենակատարներ Սոֆյա Սայադյանը (սոպրանո), Հենրիետա Հարությունովան (սոպրանո), Աննա Ավդալյանը (սոպրանո), Քրիստինե Սահակյանը (մեցցո-սոպրանո), Յանա Դարյանը (ալտ), Արթուր Ավանեսովը (դաշնամուր): Կոմպոզիտորի կյանքն ու ստեղծագործությունը հակիրճ ներկայացրեց երաժշտագետ Մհեր Նավոյանը: Համերգի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարը և գլխավոր դիրիժորն էր Ռոբերտ Մլքեյանը, գլխավոր աջակիցը՝ ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարությունը, աջակիցները` Շիրակի մարզպետարանը և Արթիկի քաղաքապետարանը, պրոդյուսերը՝ Տիգրան Վիրաբյանը։


Մաեստրոյի մասնակցությամբ և հարյուրավոր երաժիշտների ներկայությամբ Արթիկի մշակույթի կենտրոնը անվանակոչվեց Տիգրան Մանսուրյանի անվամբ:
Արթիկի ընտրությունը պատահական չէ՝ Մանսուրյանի մանկության և պատանեկության տարիներն անցել են այս քաղաքում: Տիգրան Մանսուրյանին, ընդհանուր առմամբ, Շիրակ աշխարհի հետ շատ բարի ու ջերմ հիշողություններ են կապում՝ Մանսուրյանների ընտանիքը Բեյրութից ներգաղթում է Հայաստան՝ Շիրակ: Առաջին տարիներն ապրում է Պեմզաշեն գյուղում, ապա 1947-ին տեղափոխվում Արթիկ, որտեղ, ինչպես կոմպոզիտորն է ասում, սովորում է հայ գիրն ու Արթիկի մշակույթի տանը ծանոթանում երաժշտական գործիքին: Մինչ համերգի մեկնարկը պատասխանելով լրագրողների հարցերին՝ մաեստրոն նշեց, որ թեև Արթիկում չի ծնվել, բայց իրեն արթիկցի է համարում: «1947-ին, երբ Բեյրութից եկանք, տեղավորվեցինք Արթիկում: Իրականում ես ինձ համարում եմ արթիկցի և ուզում եմ այս քաղաքին վերադարձնել այն, ինչ տեսել, լսել ու վայելել եմ այստեղ: Ես մշտապես պարտք եմ այս քաղաքին ու նրա մարդկանց: Այստեղ ես առաջին անգամ «հանդիպեցի» դաշնամուրի հետ ու կապվեցի այդ գործիքին մոլեռանդորեն: Արթիկն ինձ համար շատ սիրելի է: Իմ՝ ժողովրդական երգի հանդեպ սերը, նաև Լմբատից ու Հառիճավանքից է, երբ գնում էի կանաչ-կարմիր կիրակիներին մասնակցելու: Հրաշք էր...»,-իր խոսքում նշեց Տիգրան Մանսուրյանը:


Արթիկի քաղաքապետ Մխիթար Վարագյանն ընթերցեց Արթիկի ավագանու որոշումը, որով Տիգրան Մանսուրյանին շնորհվեց Արթիկի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում: 
Երեկոյի ավարտին կոմպոզիտորը դաշնամուրով կատարեց հատված «Կտոր մը երկինք» ֆիլմի համար իր գրած երաժշտությունից:
