ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն հոկտեմբերի 6-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Ֆրանսիայի նորանշանակ դեսպան Ջոնաթան Լաքոթին՝ հավատարմագրերի պատճենի հանձնման կապակցությամբ։

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից՝ հավելելով. «Շնորհավորելով դեսպանին նշանակման կապակցությամբ՝ նախարար Նալբանդյանը հաջողություն մաղթեց նրան և հույս հայտնեց, որ Ջոնաթան Լաքոթն իր գործունեությամբ կնպաստի հայ-ֆրանսիական առանձնաշնորհյալ հարաբերությունների առավել զարգացմանը։

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով բարեմաղթանքների համար՝ դեսպան Լաքոթը վստահեցրեց, որ հնարավոր ջանքերը կներդնի հայ-ֆրանսիական բացառիկ հարաբերությունների առավել ընդլայնման և խորացման նպատակով։

Զրուցակիցները քննարկեցին երկկողմ համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ, անդրադարձան բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական երկխոսությանը, միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներոում փոխգործակցությանը, ամուր իրավապայմանագրային դաշտի առավել ընդլայնմանը, միջխորհրդարանական ակտիվ շփումներին, ապակենտրոնացված համագործակցությանը, կրթական և մշակութային բազմաբնույթ կապերին։ Երկուստեք կարևորվեց ֆրանսահայ համայնքի արժեքավոր դերակատարությունը երկու երկրների միջև կապերի ամրապնդման գործընթացում։

Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարն ու Ֆրանսիայի դեսպանը մտքեր փոխանակեցին առևտրատնտեսական համագործակցության, Հայաստանում ֆրանսիական ներդրումների ծավալների ավելացմանն առնչվող հարցերի շուրջ։
Հանդիպման օրակարգում էին Հայաստան - Եվրոպական միություն համագործակցությունը և Արևելյան գործընկերության բրյուսելյան գագաթաժողովի նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները։

Մտքեր փոխանակվեցին հաջորդ տարի Երևանում կայանալիք Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի պետությունների և կառավարությունների ղեկավարների գագաթաժողովի կազմակերպմանն առնչվող հարցերի շուրջ։

Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը կարևորեց ղարաբաղյան հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացում Ֆրանսիայի դերակատարությունը՝ որպես ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկիր»։
