Ամերիկացի հնագետները պեղումներ կիրականացնեն Հայաստանի ամենահին բնակատեղիներից մեկում

Կալիֆորնիայի համալսարանի հնագետ ասպիրանտները հաջորդ տարի պեղումներ կիրականացնեն Հայաստանի հնագույն բնակատեղիներից մեկում` «Մասիս բլուր»-ում: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Հնագիտության եւ ազգագրության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Պավել Ավետիսյանն ասաց, որ հուշարձանի տարածքում հայ-ամերիկյան արշավախումբը ոչ միայն պեղումներ, այլ նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներ է իրականացրել: «Այս տարի մաքրեցինք նախորդ տարիներին պեղված նյութերը եւ քանի որ հուշարձանը մեծ պոտենցիալ ունի, որոշեցինք այնտեղ ամառային դպրոց կազմակերպել ամերիկացի հնագետ-ասպիրանտների համար»,-ասաց նա:

Ավետիսյանի խոսքով` «Մասիս բլուր»-ում օգոստոսի 4-ին մեկնարկած եւ ավելի քան մեկ ամիս տեւած պեղումների արդյունքում նոր շինություններ են բացվել` հետաքրքիր նյութերով: «Այդ նյութերը լրացնում են մեր պատկերացումները Ք.ա 6-րդ հազարամյակի առաջին քառորդի` նոր քարի դարի մասին: Այս տարի եւս հնավայրից օբսիդիանից հետաքրքիր նյութեր ենք հանել»,-նշեց հնագետը՝ հավելելով, որ Ք.ա 6-րդ հազարամյակում Արարատյան դաշտի այդ հատվածներում լիճ է եղել, եւ հենց այդ լճի ափին գտնվող բնակավայրերում էլ պեղումներն իրականացվում են:

Հնագիտության եւ ազգագրության ինստիտուտի տնօրենն ասաց, որ այս տարվա գտածոները եւս փաստում են այն մասին, որ այս ժամանակահատվածում մարդիկ զբաղվել են ձկնորսությամբ, կաշվի եւ մետաղի մշակմամբ, հագուստ են կարել:
