XVI դարի մեծագույն աստղագետ Տիխո Բրագեն, ում հետազոտությունները մեծապես օգնել են Իսահակ Նյուտոնին տիեզերական ձգողության օրենքը ստեղծելիս, անժամանակ հեռացել է կյանքից զուգարան չգնալու պատճառով:Այն ժամանակ մինչև ճաշկերույթի ավարտը սեղանը լքելը համարվում էր ծանր վիրավորանք տանտիրոջ նկատմամբ: Հաշվենկատ Բրագեն չի համարձակվում թույլտվություն հարցնել և դուրս գալ սեղանից: Նրա միզապարկը տրաքում է և, 11 օր տանջվելով, վերջինս հեռանում է կյանքից:

XVI դարի ազդեցիկ պետական գործիչ և փիլիսոփա Ֆրենսիս Բեկոնը մահացել է հավի մսի մեջ ձյուն լցնելու արդյունքում( նրա մտքին փչել էր, թե մսի պահպանման համար կարելի է աղի փոխարեն օգտագործել ձյուն, և նա փորձել էր ստուգել իր տեսությունը ): Փորձի արդյունքում հավի միսն այդպես էլ չէր սառչել, սակայն սառչել էր ինքը՝ Բեկոնը
8-րդ հորիզոնական
XVII դարի կոմպոզիտոր, ֆրանսիայի արքայի պատվերով բազմաթիվ ստեղծագործությունների հեղինակ Ժան-Բատիստ Լյուլին, մահացել է իր գործին անչափ նվիրված լինելու արդյունքում: Մի անգամ փորձի ժամանակ նա այնքան էր նյարդայնացել, որ ձեռնափայտով գետնին հարվածելիս դիպել էր ոտքին և մահացել արյան վարակման արդյունքում:
7-րդ հորիզոնական
Աճպարար Հարրի Հուդինին մահացել է իր երկրպագուի կողմից որովայնի հատվածում ստացված հարվածի արդյունքում: Հուդինին թույլատրում էր հարվածել իրեն, ցուցադրելու հմամար իր անկասելի որովայնային մկանների ուժը: Նա մահացել է հիվանդանոցում ներքին վնասվածքների արդյունքում:
6-րդ հորիզոնական
«Վազքի լիահատոր գրք» բեստսելլերի հեղինակ Ջիմ Ֆիկսը մահացել է վազքի ժամանակ սրտի կաթվածից:
5-րդ հորիզոնական
Ֆրանսիացի երգիչ Կլոդ Ֆրանսուան մահացել է էլեկտրական հարվածից, երբ փորձել է փոխել ջահի լամպը՝ լիքը լցված վաննայի մեջ գտնվելիս:
4-րդ հորիզոնական
Խուզարկու Ալլան Պինկերտոնը մահացել է գանգրենայից, երբ սայթաքելիս կծել է սեփական լեզուն:
3-րդ հորիզոնական
ԱՄՆ-ի տասներկուերորդ նախագահ Զաքարի Թեյլորը 1850թ. հուլիսի 4-ին ԱՄՆ-ի Անկախության օրվա հանդիսություններից հետո անտանելի շոգ եղանակային պայմաններում կերել է չափազանց շատ պաղպաղակ և հիվանդացել է ստամոքսի անբավարարումից՝ նախագահի աթոռին պաշտոնավարելով ընդհամենը 16 ամիս:
