ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի գործադիր խորհրդի 58 անդամ-պետություններ հոկտեմբերի 13-ին Օդրի Ազուլեին (Ֆրանսիա) նշանակել են կազմակերպության գլխավոր տնօրենի պաշտոնում: Այս մասին ասված է կազմակերպության տարածած մամուլի հաղորդագրությունում:

Նոյեմբերի 10-ին Օդրի Ազուլեի թեկնածությունը կներկայացվի Գլխավոր համաժողովի հաստատմանը, որը կայանում է տարին երկու անգամ` կազմակերպության անդամ բոլոր 195 երկրների ներկայացուցիչների մասնակցությամբ:

Քվեարկության հինգ փուլից հետո, որոնք սկսվել էին հոկտեմբերի 9-ից, Գործադիր խորհրդի նախագահ դեսպան Մայքլ Վորբսը (Գերմանիա) հայտարարել է քվեարկության արդյունքները` շնորհավորելով Օդրի Ազուլեին: «Աշխատանքի Ձեր նախորդ փորձը որպես պետական նախարար և ազգային ու միջազգային կառույցներում Ձեր զբաղեցրած բարձր պաշտոնները տվել են փորձ, իրազեկվածություն և գիտելիքների խորություն, ինչը Ձեզ պետք կգա մեր կազմակերպության ղեկավարի պաշտոնը ստանձնելիս»,-ասել է Վորբսը:

Օդրի Ազուլեն ծնվել է 1972 թվականին, 2016 թվականի փետրվարից 2017-ի մայիս եղել է Ֆրանսիայի մշակույթի նախարարը:

ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի անդամ պետությունները կազմակերպության գլխավոր տնօրենի պաշտոնի համար ներկայացրել էին ինը թեկնածուի, նրանց թվում էր նաև Ադրբեջանի թեկնածու Փոլադ Բյուլբուլօղլին, ով ստացել էր ընդամենը 2 ձայն:
