ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 20-ին ընդունել է Լեհաստանի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Վիտոլդ Վաշչիկովսկուն:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին և նշել, որ ուրախ է նրան հյուրընկալել երկու երկրների և ժողովուրդների համար հոբելյանական տարում, երբ Հայաստանի և Լեհաստանի միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25-ամյակի հետ մեկտեղ նշվում է Լեհաստանում հայ համայնքի կազմավորման 650-րդ տարեդարձը։

Սերժ Սարգսյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել բարեկամ լեհ ժողովրդին և Լեհաստանի իշխանություններին՝ հայ ժողովրդի մի հատվածի և Հայաստանի մշակութային ժառանգության նկատմամբ հոգատար վերաբերմունքի համար: Հանրապետության Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել 650-ամյա հոբելյանի կապակցությամբ հայ համայնքին ուղղված Լեհաստանի նախագահ Անջեյ Դուդայի ջերմ ուղերձը և երեկ այդ երկրի Սենատում նույն առիթով ընդունված բանաձևը:

Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը մեծ կարևորություն է տալիս Լեհաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացմանը թե՛ երկկողմ ձևաչափով, թե՛ ԵՄ-ի հետ համագործակցության շրջանակներում: 

Արտգործնախարար Վաշչիկովսկին շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին ընդունելության համար և ջերմությամբ հիշել ս.թ. սեպտեմբերի 19-ին ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի շրջանակներում Նյու Յորքում Հայաստանի և Լեհաստանի նախագահների հանդիպումն ու արդյունավետ քննարկումը:

Վիտոլդ Վաշչիկովսկին Հանրապետության Նախագահին ներկայացրել է Հայաստան իր այցի նպատակն ու հայ գործընկերոջ հետ այսօր ունեցած հանդիպման արդյունքները:

Զրուցակիցները հայ-լեհական երկկողմ հարաբերություններից բացի անդրադարձել են նաև ՀՀ-ԵՄ համագործակցությանը, բրյուսելյան առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովին և Հայաստանի ակնկալիքներին այդ գագաթնաժողովից:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը կարևորում է ԵՄ-ի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացումը, ընդգծելով, որ Միության հետ համագործակցության արդյունքում Հայաստանում վերջին տարիներին բավականին բարեփոխումներ են իրականացվել, և ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունները զգալի առաջընթաց են գրանցել: Սերժ Սարգսյանը կարևորել է Լեհաստանի դերակատարությունը Արևելյան գործընկերության շրջանակներում ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում:

Հանդիպմանը զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են նաև ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացին:
