«Թումո» ստեղծարար տեխնոլոգիաների կենտրոնում մեկնարկել է թվային պահպանման ևս մի նախագիծ, որի շնորհիվ կիրականացվի UNESCO-ի համաշխարհային ժառանգության մեջ ընդգրկված Արենիի քարանձավի և Նորավանքի 3D-սկանավորումը և մշակումը։ 

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին «Թումո»-ից՝ հավելելով. «Աշխարհի նշանավոր կետերի եռաչափ սկանավորմամբ զբաղվող CyArk միջազգային ընկերության մասնագետները այժմ Հայաստանում են, և Թումոյի ուսանողների ու ոլորտի այլ մասնագետների հետ միասին սկսել են 3D սկանավորման գործընթացը։

«Իմ Հայաստան» ծրագրի շրջանակներում՝ ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ի կողմից ֆինանսավորվող, Սմիթսոնյան ինստիտուտի և Թումոյի կողմից իրականացվող ծրագիրը մեկնարկել է հոկտեմբերի 23-ին։ Սկանավորման LiDAR տեխնիկայի հետ ծանոթանալուց հետո մասնակիցները կատարել են սկանավորման առաջին փորձերը Թումանյանի այգում։ Հոկտեմբերի 25-ին խումբը կուղևորվի Նորավանք և Արենիի քարանձավ՝ իրականացնելու եռաչափ նկարահանումը, իսկ ավելի ուշ կզբաղվի հավաքված նյութերի մշակմամբ։

Եռաչափ սկանավորումը վերջին տարիներին աշխարհում մեծ տարածում ստացած տեխնոլոգիա է, որի շնորհիվ աշխարհիկարևորագույն պատմական և մշակութային կոթողները այժմ կարելի է ընդմիշտ պահպանել թվային տիրույթում»։
