Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 27-ին ընդունել է Մեքսիկական Միացյալ Նահանգների Պատգամավորների պալատի Մեքսիկա-Հայաստան բարեկամության խմբի պատվիրակությանը` խմբի ղեկավար Բլանկա Մարգարիտա Կուատա Դոմինգեսի գլխավորությամբ: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ Հանրապետության Նախագահը նշել է, որ Հայաստանում մշտապես ուրախ են հյուրընկալել բարեկամ երկրների ներկայացուցիչներին, քանզի նմանօրինակ այցելությունները նոր որակ և բովանդակություն են հաղորդում երկկողմ հարաբերություններին և լավ հնարավորություն են քննարկելու միջպետական փոխգործակցության տարաբնույթ հարցեր: Սերժ Սարգսյանը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ բարեկամ Մեքսիկայի պատգամավորների այցը նոր էջ է բացելու հայ-մեքսիկական միջխորհրդարանական հարաբերություններում և նախանշելու է երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների միջև համագործակցության հետագա ուղիները:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը բարձր է գնահատել Մեքսիկայի պատգամավորների պալատում Մեքսիկա-Հայաստան բարեկամության խմբի ձևավորումը և իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնել պատգամավոր Բլանկա Մարգարիտա Կուատա Դոմինգեսին՝ այդ խումբը ղեկավարելու համար: Հանրապետության Նախագահի համոզմամբ, դա շնորհակալ աշխատանք է երկու երկրների ժողովուրդների միջև կապերն ամրապնդելու գործում: 

Հանրապետության Նախագահը նաև ողջունել է խորհրդարանականների երկօրյա այցը Արցախ և համարել այն շատ լավ հնարավորություն է ծանոթանալու Արցախի խնդրին և արցախցիներին, այդ տարածաշրջանում դարերով ապրող հայ ժողովրդի պատմությանը, մշակույթին, իրենց ազատության համար պայքարող այդ մարդկանց կենցաղին:

Նախագահ Սարգսյանը, հիշատակելով անցյալ սեպտեմբերին Մեքսիկայի ժողովրդին պատուհասած բնական աղետը՝ երկրաշարժը, վստահություն է հայտնել, որ կարճ ժամանակում Մեքսիկայի ժողովուրդը և իշխանությունները ամեն ինչ կանեն, որպեսզի այդ արհավիրքի հետևանքները վերանան:

Մեքսիկա-Հայաստան բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավարը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Հանրապետության Նախագահին ջերմ ընդունելության համար և վստահեցրել, որ խումբը կանի ամեն հնարավորը, որպեսզի համագործակցությունը շարունակաբար ամրապնդվի և խորացվի, քանզի Հայաստան և Արցախ այցի օրերին պատվիրակությունը զգացել է հայ ժողովրդի ջերմ վերաբերմունքը և բարեկամության փոխադարձ մեծ ցանկությունը:

«Մենք շատ լավ դռներ ենք բացել մեր երկու ժողովուրդների բարեկամության համար: Մեզ համար մեծ պատիվ է լինել Հայաստանի նման արժանապատիվ երկրում: Երջանիկ էինք նաև տեսնելու Արցախը՝ փոքրիկ և վեհ մի երկիր, որն արդեն մեր սրտում իր կայուն տեղն ունի»,- ասել է Մեքսիկա-Հայաստան բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար Բլանկա Մարգարիտա Կուատա Դոմինգեսը:
