Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսը ելույթ է ունեցել  Հունաստանի կառավարության կազմակերխած Աթենքի երկրորդ միջազգային համագումարին և կոչ արել պահպանել Միջին Արևելքի կրոնական և մշակութային բազմազանությունը։

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության լրատվական գրասենյակից՝ հավելելով. «Յունաստանի կառավարութեան կողմէ կազմակերպուած Աթէնքի երկրորդ միջազգային համագումարին իր արտասանած խօսքին մէջ, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը յատուկ կարեւորութեամբ շեշտեց Միջին Արեւելքի կեանքին ու պատմութեան իւրայատուկ երեւոյթը կազմող ցեղային, կրօնական ու մշակութային բազմազանութիւնը պահելու հրամայականը։ Մեկնելով այս շեշտաւորումէն եւ անդրադառնալով Միջին Արեւելքի դիմագրաւած ներկայ տագնապներուն, Նորին Սրբութիւնը իր խօսքը ամփոփեց հետեւեալ չորս կէտերուն մէջ.-

  1. Կեանքը աստուածատուր իրականութիւն մըն է։ Մարդը կոչուած է պահելու ու պաշտպանելու կեանքը. հետեւաբար, ոեւէ մէկ արարք կեանքը ապականելու ձգտող մեղանչում մըն է Աստուծոյ նկատմամբ։ Այս է ուսուցումը միաստուածեան երեք կրօններուն։
  1. Բազմազանութիւնը Աստուծոյ ստեղծագործութեան իւրայատուկ երեսներէն մէկն է. ան հարստացուցիչ երեւոյթ է։ Հետեւաբար Միջին Արեւելքի կրօնական, մշակութային ու ցեղային բազմազանութիւնը պահելն ու զարգացնելը բոլորին հիմնական մտահոգութիւնը պէտք է դառնայ։
  1. Ծայրայեղութիւնը մերժելի երեւոյթ մըն է բոլոր կրօններուն կողմէ։ Ոեւէ կրօնք իրաւունք չունի իր արժէքներն ու ուսուցումները պարտադրելու։ Արժէքներու ու աւանդութիւններու գոյակցութիւնը հիմքն է ազգերու համակեցութեան։
  1. Խաղաղութիւնը աստուածատուր իրաւունք է, սակայն ճշմարիտ ու մնայուն խաղաղութիւնը հիմնուած է արդարութեան վրայ։

Ապա, Վեհափառ Հայրապետը անդրադարձաւ Միջին Արեւելքի ներկայ կացութեան եւ յիշեց, որ կրօնական ծայրայեղութիւնը, արտաքին ոյժերու միջամտութիւնը, ժողովրդավարութեան ու մարդկային իրաւանց անտեսումը այլազան տագնապներ յառաջացուցած է շրջանէն ներս՝ հարցականի տակ առնելով մշակոյթներու ու կրօններու համակեցութիւնը։

Միջին Արեւելքը լուրջ վտանգներու կրնայ ենթարկուիլ, երբ իր ինքնութեան անբաժան մասը կազմող բազմազանութիւնը վտանգուի՝ յիշեցուց Նորին Սրբութիւնը եւ կոչ ուղղեց, որ երեք միաստուածեան կրօններու առաջնորդները քաղաքական ղեկավարներու հետ միասնաբար դիմեն այնպիսի քայլերու, որոնցմով կարելի ըլլայ պահպանել Միջին Արեւելքի բազմազանութիւնը։

Յայտնենք, որ Արամ Ա. Կաթողիկոսին կողքին համագումարին ներկայ եղան Յունաստանի հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ՝ Գերշ. Տ. Գեղամ Արք. Խաչերեան եւ Ազգային Վարչութեան ատենապետ՝ Պօղոս Չոլաքեան։ Համագումարին նաեւ կը մասնակցէր որպէս Արաբական Միացեալ Էմիրութեանց պետութեան պատուիրակութեան անդամ՝ Գերպ. Տ. Մեսրոպ Ծ. Վրդ. Սարգիսեան։

Համագումարին բացումը կատարեց Յունաստանի Նախագահը, ապա ժողովին ատենապետութիւնը ստանձնեց Արտաքին Գործոց նախարարը։ Ներկայ էին աւելի քան 200 ներկայացուցիչներ՝ պետական, դիւանագիտական, կրօնական եւ միաստուածեան երեք կրօնները ներկայացնող հոգեւոր ղեկավարներ»։
