Նյու Յորքի «Մետրոպոլիտեն» թանգարանում կներկայացվի հայկական մշակույթը

Հայոց պատմության մի ողջ ժամանակաշրջան կներկայացվի համաշխարհային հեղինակավոր մշակութային կենտրոններից մեկում` Նյու Յորքի «Մետրոպոլիտեն» թանգարանում: 4-17-րդ դարերի հայ պատմամշակութային ժառանգությունը ներկայացնող բացառիկ ցուցահանդեսի բացումը նախատեսված է 2018թվականի սեպտեմբերի 21-ին՝ ՀՀ անկախության օրը:

«Հայերն այսօր»-ը, վկայակոչելով ԱՄՆ-ում լույս տեսնող «Ասպարեզ» օրաթերթին, հայտնում է, որ ցուցահանդեսի մասին մանրամասներ է ներկայացրել «Մետրոպոլիտեն»-ի Միջնադարյան արվեստի և վանքերի վարչության Բյուզանդական բաժնի համակարգող Հելեն Էվանսը:

«Ցուցահանդեսում կներկայացվի վաղ միջնադարից մինչև 17-րդ դար հայոց պատմությունն ու մշակույթը`  քրիստոնեության ընդունելության, Մեսրոպ Մաշտոցի կողմից Հայ գրերի ստեղծման ու դրա ազդեցության, Կիլիկիայի Հայոց թագավորության տարիների մասին ցուցանմուշներ,  տարբեր դարերի ձեռագրեր, հայերեն առաջին տպագիր գրքեր»,- տեղեկացրել է Հելեն Էվանսը:

Ցուցադրությունը հիմնականում կազմված կլինի Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի թանգարանի, Մատենադարանի և Պատմության թանգարանի նմուշներից, նաև կներառվեն Երուսաղեմի Սուրբ Հակոբյանց եկեղեցու, Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության, Մխիթարյան միաբանությունում պահվող հայ միջնադարյան մշակույթի որոշ գանձերից, նմուշներ կտրամադրեն «Գյուլբենկյան» հիմնարկությունը և որոշ ոչ հայկական աղբյուրներ:

Հելեն Էվանսը նշել է, որ բացառիկ առիթ է ընձեռվել աշխարհի հնամենի մշակույթներից մեկը կրող ժողովրդի պատմամշակութային ժառանգությունը ժամանակակից ձևով ներկայացնելու:
