ՄԱԿ գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիո Գուտերեշը 2019 թվականի սեպտեմբերին կլիմայի վերաբերյալ գագաթաժողով կանցկացնի ` գլոբալ տաքացման եւ դրա հետեւանքների դեմ ջանքերն ակտիվացնելու նպատակով:

 Այս մասին ուրբաթ համաշխարհային կազմակերպության գլխավոր գրասենյակում լրագրողներին հայտարարել է նա, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Գուտերեշը նշել է, որ Փարիզյան համաձայանագրում նշված նպատակների՝ ջերմոցային գազերի արտանետումների կրճատմանը հասնելու հնարավորությունները նվազում են:

Նա ներկայացրել է համաշխարհային օդերեւութաբանական կազմակերպության նոր տվյալները, որոնց համաձայն, 2016 թվականին մթնոլորտում ածխաթթու գազի կուտակումը գերազանցել է 1 մլն-ի 403 մասը, ինչը 800 հազար տարվա ընթացքում ամենաբարձր աստիճանն է: ՀՕԿ- ը նաեւ տեղեկացրել է, որ այս տարին պարբերական դիտարկումների պատմության մեջ ամենաշոգ երեք տարիներից մեկը կլինի:

«Այս զեկույցները մեզ հստակ ազդանշաններն են ուղարկում, որ կլիմայի ոլորտում հարկավոր է ակտիվացնել գործողությունները», - ասել է նա:

«Ես խնդրում եմ միջազգային առաջնորդներին դիմակայել իրենց շահերին, իմաստուն լինել, ներդրումներ անել ապագայի մեջ եւ մտահոգվել այն աշխարհի համար, որը մեր երեխաների համար ենք կառուցում», - հավելել է ՄԱԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
