Ազգային կոնսենսուսը, որը թույլ է տվել մեկ տարի առաջ Լիբանանում կոալիցիոն կառավարություն կազմել, իր արդյունավետությունը պահպանում է: Այս մասին հայտարարել է Լիբանանի նախագահ Միշել Աունը, հայտնում է Daily Star-ը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ «վարչապետ Սաադ Հարիրիի հետ համերաշխության արշավը եւ հայրենիք նրա անհապաղ վերադարձի համընդհանուր պահանջը դրական արդյունքներ են ունեցել»:

Լիբանանի նախագահը նշել է, որ «Հարիրիի վերջին հայտարարությունը վարչապետի պաշտոնը թողնելու որոշումից հրաժարվելու մասին վկայում է, որ կոալիցիոն կառավարությունը կմնա իշխանության, եւ ձեռք կբերվի ճգնաժամի կարգավորումը»: «Ես շատ ուրախ եմ լսելու, որ վարչապետը մտադիր է շուտով Բեյրութ վերադառնալ, եւ մենք նրա հետ կպարզենք առաջացած բոլոր խնդիրները ու համապատասխան լուծումներ կգտնենք»,- ընդգծել է Աունը

Հարիրին կիրակի Al Mustaqbal հեռուստատեսությանը հայտնել է, որ 2-3 օրից Բեյրութ կվերադառնա: Նա հասկացրել է, որ հնարավոր է, հրաժարականից հրաժարվի, որի մասին հայտարարել էր նոյեմբերի 4-ին, եթե «կառավարության հռչակած Լիբանանի չեզոքությունը եւ տարածաշրջանային հակամարտություններից երկրի հեռու մնալը հստակ պահպանվի»:

Վարչապետի պաշտոնից հրաժարվելու իր որոշումը Հարիրին պատճառաբանել է «Լիբանանի շահերը պաշտպանելու ձգտմամբ»: Նա նշել է, որ «հանդես չի գալիս շիական «Հիզբոլլահ» կուսակցության դեմ, սակայն կարծում է, որ այս կազմակերպությունը պետք է դադարեցնի Եմենում, Բահրեյնում եւ այլ վայրերում միջամտությունը, քանի որ դրա շարունակությունը արաբական երկրների կողմից Լիբանանին սպառնացող պատժամիջոցներն են»:
