Թուրքիայի ասորական համայնքը կդիմի դատարան՝ պահանջելով պետությունից ետ վերադարձնել ասորիներից առգրավված ու պետականացված եկեղեցիներն ու գերեզմանատները:

Հիշեցնենք, որ ամիսներ առաջ Մարդինի Միդյաթ պատմական շրջանում գտնվող և ասորական համայնքին պատկանող մի շարք սրբավայրեր, եկեղեցիներ և գերեզմանատներ բռնագրավվել էին իշխանությունների կողմից՝ Նախարարների խորհրդի որոշմամբ:

Թուրքական demokrathaber.org կայքի հետ զրույցում Մարդին քաղաքում գտնվող Մոր Գաբրիել ասորական վանքի հիմնադրամի ղեկավար Կիրյակուս Էրգյունը փաստել է, որ 2013 թվականին այն ժամանակ դեռ վարչապետի պաշտոնը զբաղեցնող Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի՝ ժողովրդավարացման փաթեթի շրջանակներում ասորական համայնքը կարողացավ հետ ստանալ պետականացված 30 կառույցներից 12-ը:

Այս տարի Մարդին քաղաքի՝ երկրի խոշոր քաղաքների ցանկում ընդգրկվելու արդյունքում պաշտոնական կարգավիճակի փոփոխությունից հետո Գույքի բաժանման պետական հանձնաժողովը պետականացրեց ասորական համայնքի բազմաթիվ սրբատեղիներ: Այդ որոշումը, սակայն, չեղարկվեց համայնքի բողոքների հիման վրա, մինչդեռ սրբատեղիները ոչ թե վերադարձվեցին ասորիներին, այլ փոխանցվեցին մեկ այլ հիմնադրամի:

Ավելի վաղ Շվեդիայի Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական աշխատանքային կուսակցության պատգամավոր Յըլմազ Քերիմոն և Քրիստոնյա-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության պատգամավոր Ռոբերտ Հալեֆը երկրի խորհրդարանում բարձրացրել են Թուրքիայի իշխանությունների կողմից ասորական համայնքի մի շարք սրբավայրերի ու եկեղեցիների բռնի պետականացման ու դրանք Թուրքիայի կրոնական հարցերով վարչությանը փոխանցելու հարցը:
