Պարզվում է, Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը դարձել է Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի ֆանատը: Չկարողանալ հոդաբաշխ որևէ պատասխան տալ «Ծառուկյան» խմբակցության պատգամավորների խիստ քննադատությանը, նա դիմում է փորձված, բայց քաղաքագիտական շրջանականների համար պրիմիտվ հնարքի: Հրապարակ է բերում այս ռեժիմի խիստ քննադատներից մեկի խոսքերը: Ինչպես ասում են, այս խելացի պարոնը, մեկ կրակոցով երկու նապաստակ է ուզում որսալ: Բայց այդ ժամանակներն անցել են: Այդ պոպուլիզմը կարող է ծառայել միայն փոքր զանգվածների վրա ազդելու համար: Արդ ի՞նչ է ասում սույն պարոնը:

Դիտարկմանը, որ «Ծառուկյան» խմբակցության պատգամավորների քննադատություններում քաղաքական ենթատեքստ կար, Շարմազանովն արձագանքեց. «Քաղաքական գործընթացների մեջ պետք է լինի քաղաքական ենթատեքստ: Եթե լիներ անձնական, դա ծիծաղելի կլիներ: Շատ նորմալ է, որ քաղաքական ուժերը շփվում են քաղաքական ենթատեքստերով: Հիմա իրենք հարց են բարձրացրել, կտեսնենք՝ այսօր եւ վաղը բյուջեի քննարկումն ինչպես կընթանա: Եվ, ինչպես մեր հարգաժան առաջին նախագահ Տեր-Պետրոսյանն էր ասում ու շատ ճիշտ էր ասում, ընդդիմությունը քննադատելու համար է, իշխանությունը նրա համար է, որպեսզի պատասխանի այդ քննադատություններին: Երբ անձրեւ է գալիս, ընդդիմությունն ասում է` իշխանությունն է մեղավոր, երբ արեւ է լինում, ընդդիմությունն ասում է` սա իմ շնորհն է: Սա էլ ես չեմ ասել, ավելի խելացի մարդ է ասել, որի անունն է Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյան»:

Իհարկե, դա լավ է, որ Շարմազանովը կարդացել է Տեր-Պետրոսյան: Քաղաքական վերնախավի շատ հանրապետականների չէր խանգարի, որ նրանք նախ կարդալ սովորեին, հետո ընթերցեին Հայկական Ժողովրդական հեքիաթները, դրանից հետո՝ Պատանի ընթերցասերի գրադարան, հետո՝ միջանկյալ ինչ-որ բաներ, իսկ վերջում, օր ծերության, նոր կարողանային կարդալ Տեր-Պետրոսյան, որոշ բաներ հասկանալու ակնկալիքով: Օրինակ ակնհայտ է, որ Շարմազանովի մոտ այդ խնդիրը կա: Նրա մեջբերած մտքերը, Տեր-Պետրոսյանն արտահայտել է բոլորվին այլ առիթով և բոլորովին այլ քաղաքական հանգամանքներում: 

Ինչպես ասում են, դու հարցադրմանը ուղղակի պատասխանի: Իսկ եթե չունես պատասխան, ապա փաստիր, որ մեր կառավարությունը հերթական անգամ տապալել է: Ոչինչ չունենք անելու: Այլապես, երբ Տեր-Պետրոսյան ես ցիտում, այն հույսով, թե շատ դեմոկրատ կերևաս, դա հարցի լուծում: Վաճառականին շարունակում են պահել տեռորի տակ:
