 Կանադա աշխատանքային այցի վերջին օրը ՀայաստանիՀանրապետության պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունըհյուրընկալվել է Մոնրեալի ՀԲԸՄ «Ալեք Մանուկյան» վարժարանում։

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարինվարժարանում դիմավորել են սաները՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության զինված ուժերի զինանշանովշապիկներով և կարդացել հայ զինվորին հասցեագրված իրենց պատրաստած նամակը։ Վարժարանիդահլիճում սաները նաև փոքրիկ համերգային ծրագիր են ներկայացրել հյուրերին։ Շնորհակալությունհայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար, Վիգեն Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ այլ երկրներ այցերի ընթացքումմշտապես կարևորել է հանդիպումները հայկական դպրոցներում, քանի որ առանց դպրոցների անհնար էպահպանել հայկական ինքնությունը։ 

«Մեր երկիրը սահմանափակ տարածքով և ոչ շատ մեծ բնակչությամբ երկիր է։ Բայց մեր ժողովուրդըանհամեմատ մեծ ժառանգության կրող է։ Մեր պայքարը, մեր գոյության իմաստավորումը չի կարողսահմանափակվել երկրի տարածքով, սահմաններով, կամ բնակչությամբ։ Մենք կրողն ենք այնժառանգության, որի կերտողները երազել են պետականության մասին։ Այսօր, երբ մենք ունենքպետություն, պետք է անենք հնարավորը, որպեսզի Հայաստանը, սփյուռքն ու Արցախը միասնականկարողանան կյանքի կոչել մեր դարավոր իղձերը»,- նշել է Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարը։ 

Հայկական պատվիրակությունն այնուհետև հյուրընկալվել է ՀՅԴ «Սուրբ Հակոբ» դպրոցում, շրջայցկատարել դպրոցի տարածքով։ Վիգեն Սարգսյանը գրառում է կատարել դպրոցի պատվավոր հյուրերիգրքում։ 

Այցի ավարտին հայկական պատվիրակությունը Մոնրեալում հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցել Հայոց Ցեղասպանության սրբադասված նահատակների հիշատակին։
