Ամերիկացի սերիական մարդասպան Չարլզ Մենսոնը, որը ցմահ ազատազրկված էր ԱՄՆ բանտերից մեկում, մահացել է 83 տարեկանում: Այս մասին հայտնել է TMZ-ն՝ վկայակոչելով Մենսոնի զոհերից մեկի քրոջը:

Աղջիկը հայտնել է, որ բանտը, որտեղ պատիժ էր կրում մարդասպանը, կապ է պահպանում նրա զոհերի բոլոր ազգականների հետ: Նա ասել է, որ նոյեմբերի 19-ին (տեղական ժամանակով) 8.13-ին իրեն զանգահարել եւ հայտնել են, որ Մենսոնը մահացել է:

Ավելի վաղ հայտնի էր դարձել որ նրան բանտից հոսպիտալացրել են:

Չարլզ Մենսոնը, որը «Ընտանիք» մարդասպանների «կոմունայի» ղեկավարն էր, ցմահ ազատազրկման է դատապարտվել  1969 թվականի ամռանը իր բարեկամ Գերի Հինմենի սպանության համար: Նույն տարվա օգոստոսին Մենսոնի խմբավորման անդամները սպանել էին Ռոման Պոլանսկու կնոջը՝ Շերոն Թեյթին, որն այդ ժամանակ 8 ամսական հղի էր: Ներկայումս նա 83 տարեկան է, 2027 թվականին նախատեսված էր Մենսոնին հնարավորություն տալ դիմել վաղաժամկետ ազատվելու խնդրագրով:
