ԱՄՆ-ը հետեւողականորեն ձգտելու Է ԿԺԴՀ-ի միջուկային խնդիրը լուծել ՄԱԿ-ի օգնությամբ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Ջեյմս Մեթիսը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ-ը «այսուհետեւ Էլ դիվանագիտական ջանքեր Է գործադրելու», որպեսզի համոզի Փենյանին հրաժարվել միջուկային զենքի եւ դրա փոխադրման միջոցների մշակումից: «Ես չեմ ցանկանում ասել, որ դիվանագիտությունը չի աշխատում,- նշել Է նա:- Մենք կշարունակենք աշխատանքը ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում, հետեւողականորեն կընթանանք այդ ճանապարհով»: «Միեւնույն ժամանակ մեր դիվանագետները հանդես կգան ուժի դիրքից, որովհետեւ մենք ունենք գործողությունների ռազմական տարբերակներ»,- հավելել Է Մեթիսը:

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ը բոլոր երկրներից պահանջել Է խզել կապերը ԿԺԴՀ-ի հետ: ՄԱԿ-ին առընթեր ԱՄՆ-ի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Նիկի Հեյլին՝ նոյեմբերի 29-ին ելույթ ունենալով Անվտանգության խորհրդի արտահերթ նիստում, որը նվիրված Էր ԿԺԴՀ-ի հերթական հրթիռային փորձարկմանը, հայտարարել Է, որ աշխարհի երկրները պետք Է խզեն ամեն տեսակ հարաբերությունները ԿԺԴՀ-ի հետ:

Նոյեմբերի 29-ի վաղ առավոտյան՝ ժամը 03:18-ին (Երեւանի ժամանակով նոյեմբերի 28-ի 22:18-ին) ԿԺԴՀ-ն ընդհատեց երկուսուկես ամիս ձգված լռությունը եւ իրականացրեց բալիստիկ հրթիռի հերթական արձակումը: ԱՄՆ-ի, Ճապոնիայի եւ Հարավային Կորեայի զինվորականների տվյալներով՝ նոր հրթիռը տեխնիկական բնութագրերով գերազանցում Է մինչ օրս Հյուսիսային Կորեայի կողմից փորձարկված բալիստիկ հրթիռներին: Հրթիռի թռիչքը տեւել Է 53 րոպե, այդ ընթացքում թռիչքի առավելագույն բարձրությունը կազմել Է 4 – 4,5 հազար կիլոմետր, իսկ հեռվությունը՝ շուրջ հազար կիլոմետր: Այն ընկել Է Ճապոնիայի ափերից 250 կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա՝ Ամորիի պրեֆեկտուրայի շրջանի բացառիկ տնտեսական գոտում:

Նոր արձակման առնչությամբ ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարար Ջեյմս Մեթիսը հայտարարել Է, որ ԿԺԴՀ-ն «ստեղծում Է այնպիսի հրթիռներ, որոնք կարող են սպառնալ գործնականում ամբողջ աշխարհին», ինչպես նաեւ, «անտարակույս, ԱՄՆ-ին»: ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել Է, որ «ԱՄՆ-ը գլուխ կհանի դրանից», եւ ընդգծել Է, որ այս հիմնախնդրի նկատմամբ իր երկրի մոտեցումը կմնա անփոփոխ: «Ոչինչ չի փոխվի: Մենք կզբաղվենք դրանով: Դա իրավիճակ Է, որից մենք գլուխ կհանենք»,- խոստացել Է Թրամփը: Նա նաեւ հավելել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը շատ լուրջ մոտեցում ունի հիմնախնդրի նկատմամբ:

Միեւնույն ժամանակ ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ռեքս Թիլերսոնը հայտարարել Է, որ իր երկիրն առաջվա պես բաց Է դիվանագիտական երկխոսություն վարելու համար: «Միացյալ Նահանգներն առաջվա պես հանձնառու Է ԿԺԴՀ-ի միջուկազերծման եւ ռազմատենչ գործողությունների դադարեցման խաղաղ ճանապարհի որոնմանը»,- հայտարարել Է պետքարտուղարը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
