ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով նախկին խորհրդական Մայքլ Ֆլինի գործով նոր մեղադրանքները սառցալեռան տեսանելի մասն են միայն: Այս մասին հայտարարել են Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի համանախագահներ Էնթոնի Բարսամյանը եւ Վան Գրիգորյանը:

Նրանց կարծիքով՝ դեռ պետք է շատ մանրամասնություններ պարզվեն՝ հատկապես Թուրքիայի կողմից բարձր մակարդակով ազգային անվտանգության հարցերի միջամտությանը առնչվող, հաղորդում է Ֆրանսիայում լույս տեսնող «Յառաջը»:

«Ինչպես մենք արդեն նախկինում էլ հայտարարել ենք, Կոնգրեսը պետք է լայնածավալ հանրային լսումներ կազմակերպի, որպեսզի ամբողջովին բացահայտվեն ԱՄՆ կառավարության վրա ազդելու Թուրքիայի փորձերը, ինչը մեր ժողովրդավարական արժեքների դեմ անմիջական հարձակում է»,- նշել են նրանք:

Տեղեկագրերը ցույց են տալիս, որ նախատեսված էր Ֆլինին վճարել 15 միլիոն դոլար, որպեսզի նա գաղտնի կերպով հօգուտ Թուրքիայի լոբբինգ (appel d’offre) կազմակերպի, եւ վերոնշյալ գումարի 530 հազար դոլարն էլ արդեն վճարված է իրեն, մինչ ըստ ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության՝ այդ ժամանակ նա չէր երեւում որպես օտար երկրի գործակալ:

Համագումարը բազմիցս ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիան փորձում է գաղտնի կերպով ազդել ամերիկացի պաշտոնատարների վրա՝ ի վնաս երկրի ազգային անվտանգության, եւ կոչ է արել հետաքննություն ձեռնարկել: Համագումարը թուրքական եւ ադրբեջանական հանձնախմբերին անդամակցած կոնգրեսականներին էլ կոչ է արել վերջ տալ այդ անդամակցությանը, ինչը որ ոմանք արել են:

«Կոնգրեսի անդամները չպետք է գործակցեն եղծված եւ բռնատիրական նման վարչակարգերի հետ։ Նկատի ունենալով քրիստոնյաների նկատմամբ Թուրքիայի վերաբերմունքը, Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտումը, Ադրբեջանի՝ «Իսլամական պետության» ոճով գործելակերպը՝ եկել է ժամանակը, որպեսզի կոնգրեսականները վերջ դնեն Թուրքիայի եւ Ադրբեջանի հետ հարաբերություններին առնչվող հանձնախմբերի անդամակցությանը»,- ասել են համագումարի համանախագահները:
