Հայաստանի նման փոքր երկրում այսքան մեծ թվով կուսակցությունների գոյությունն, իմ կարծիքով, խոսում է ոչ թե բազմակարծության բարձր մակարդակի, այլ քաղաքական դաշտի` բովանդակային առումով սնանկ լինելու մասին: Հիմնական դերակատար ուժերը, որպես կանոն, գաղափարապես այնքան թույլ են լինում, որ փորձում են զուտ քանակություն ապահովելով՝ գաղափարական ուժի և հնարավորությունների տեսանելիություն ստեղծել: Քանակություն ասելով էլ ի նկատի ունեմ ոչ թե մարդկանց քանակը, այլ «գրպանային» քաղաքական ուժերի քանակը, որոնց նախագահներից բացի այլ անդամներ փնտրելը հաճախ լուրջ դժվարությունների առաջ է կանգնեցնում մի պարզ պատճառով՝ այդ անդամները չկան:
Գրպանային կուսակցությունները՝ զուտ որպես անուն, օգտագործվում են թե՛ իշխանական ճամբարի կողմից, թե՝ ոչ իշխանական: Օրինակ, ՀՀԿ-ն խորհրդարանում իր խմբակցությունը սիրում է համալրել այնպիսի «մի հոգանոց» կուսակցություններով, ինչպիսին է Խոսրով Հարությունյանի կուսակցությունը՝ ՀՔԴՄ-ն (նույնիսկ անունն է անհարմար հիշելու համար): Նույն սկզբունքը որդեգրել են ոչ իշխանականները: Քառյակը, կորցնելով ՀՅԴ-ին և դառնալով եռյակ, ԼՏՊ-ի նախաձեռնությամբ որոշեց կրկին քառյակ դառնալու փորձ անել՝ վերակենդանացնելով ՀԺԿ-ին՝ Ստեփան Դեմիրճյանի գլխավորությամբ: Բայց եռյակը նորից քառյակ չդարձավ, որովհետև վերակենդանանալու ապարդյուն նշույլներ ցույց տվեց միայն Ստեփան Դեմիրճյանը, իսկ ՀԺԿ ասվածը արդեն ամենևին էլ 2003-ի ՀԺԿ-ն չէ, նույնիսկ նրա ակտիվ անդամներին արդեն դժվար է թվել:
Ծառուկյանը, չցանկանալով Տեր-Պետրոսյանից հետ մնալ, ասպարեզ հանեց քոչարյանական «Ազգային անվտանգություն» կուսակցությանը, որտեղ, բացի Գառնիկ Իսագուլյանից, կուսակցության երկրորդ անդամին նույնիսկ բոլոր որոնողական համակարգերով որոնելը, կարծում եմ, անարդյունք կլինի: Ես չեմ պնդում, թե այդ երկրորդ անդամը չկա, միգուցե կա գրանցված թե երկրորդ, թե երրորդ և նույնիսկ չորրոդ անդամը, բայց եթե ՀՀԿ-ից, ԲՀԿ-ից, ՀՅԴ-ից, «Ժառանգությունից», ՀԱԿ-ից մենք կարող ենք թվել յուրաքանչյուր կուսակցությունից առնվազն 10-ից ավելի մարդկանց անուններ, ովքեր Հայաստանի քաղաքական դաշտում դերակատարություն ունեն, ապա գրպանային կուսակցությունների դեպքում նույնիսկ երկրորդ մարդուն թվելը խնդրահարույց է դառնում: Հետևաբար «գրպանային կուսակցություն» բնորոշումը լիովին տրամաբանական է դառնում, նրանք եղանակ չեն ստեղծում, նրանք գաղափարներ չեն բերում, նրանք ռեսուրսներ չունեն, նրանք ընդամենը ֆոն են ապահովում, քանակ, ոչ թե մարդաքանակ, այլ՝ «կուսակցաքանակ»: Եվ որքան էլ եռյակն իր կազմում ներառի ՀԺԿ-ներ, Ազգային անվտանգություններ կամ այլ գրպանային կուսակցություններ, ինչպես, օրինակ «Ազգային համաձայնությունը», միևնույն է՝ նա քառյակ չի դառնա, նույն հաջողությամբ էլ «Ժառանգությանը» կորցնելուց հետո նորից էլ եռյակ չի կարող դառնալ:
