Հայաստանի և Վրաստանի նախագահները Թբիլիսիում կայացած հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձել են երկու երկրների միջև ընդլայնվող առևտրատնտեսական օրակարգին՝ առաջին հերթին կարևորելով ընթացիկ համագործակցության այնպիսի նշանակալի ոլորտների, ինչպիսիք են էներգետիկան և տրանսպորտը: Հանդիպումից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը: «Անդրադարձել ենք մեր երկրների տարանցիկ կարողությունների և դրանց արդյունավետ օգտագործման հնարավորությունների զարգացմանը:

Խոսեցինք զբոսաշրջության, տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտում նախանշված ծրագրերի իրականացման մասին՝ հաշվի առնելով այստեղ առկա մեծ ներուժը»,- նշեց ՀՀ Նախագահը:

Հանդիպման օրակարգում է եղել նաև համատեղ արդյունաբերական ձեռնարկությունների ստեղծման հարցը: «Ես պարոն նախագահին ասացի, որ վրացական կողմը պետք է օգտագործի Հայաստանի հնարավորությունները, ազատ տնտեսական գոտիների առկայությունը և իր արտադրանքը Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության շուկայում վաճառել: Ցանկացած գրանցված ընկերություն Հայաստանում կարող է շատ օգտակար լինել այս առումով: Հատկապես ուզում եմ շեշտել Իրանի սահմանին ստեղծված նոր ազատ տնտեսական գոտին, որը շատ մեծ հնարավորություն կտա վրացական ապրանքներն ու ծառայություններն արտահանել մեկ այլ վճարունակ շուկա՝ Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետություն»,- եզրափակեց Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
